What do you like best?

Decent product. Highly customizable. iOS app map function is useful.

What do you dislike?

Trying to setup is a nightmare if you're not on the highest tier of service. Documentation isn't clear that some services are only available unless you're on a higher cost plan. After hours of pulling hair out trying to get the service to work, finally contact support, only the find out that the function isn't available unless you pay more.

Lots of services work this way, but others are much better in their documentation about laying out what is included in which plan.

They automatically charge for the annual renewal without any reminder that the charge is coming. When I contacted support to request a refund within 2 weeks of the charge (even though I had not logged onto the system for several months), they refused to refund. Word to the wise, either steer clear, or be sure to cancel your account if you end up switching vendors!

It is a great tool, because it has a great ease of handling, which allows you to handle it in a very practical and useful way. It is excellent for tracking and keeping track of the tasks associated with closing business

It is a very practical tool, but it has many features that are difficult to handle from my point of view they are. its updates are also a bit complex to handle, plus it has changes that are made immediately

What do you like best?

Once you're familiar with the interface, it works quite well. The data exports are easy to use.

What do you dislike?

Since Zendesk doesn't have the same pull as a Salesforce, you can't expect the same number of extensions/plugins from your marketing stack. That means that your marketing team may be stuck having to use the API to wire together their campaigns manually. There are some ways around this (there's an integration with Zapier that works okay) but it's a major barrier.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Have all your expectations up front and predict your usage a couple years out. Switching CRMs isn't easy so you're in this for the long haul. Even if your choice adds a little more pain today, it's always a lot more painful to switch later.

When we started using Zendesk Sell, we didn't need all the features and cost of a larger and more expensive CRM. It was ideal for that early/mid stage.

What do you like best?

The customer service is great. The Base team cares about our feedback and is always trying to improve the product. The user experience is constantly trying to be improved. I also appreciate the fact that the CRM remembers the features and settings you had used last time you opened a page. This allows me to save time.

What do you dislike?

The product does not offer enough integrations with other platforms and makes it quite complicated to export valuable information in a user-friendly format. It also seems complicated to adapt the product to our company's reality.

Recommendations to others considering the product

I recommend you take the time to think ahead of all your needs and spend enough time benchmarking different CRMs.

Base allows to track all our communications with our customers, identify our deals and keep an eye on our pipeline. It also allows us to keep track of customer feedback and personal notes leading to having better relations with our clients.

What do you like best?

We used base at our company for approx 3 years. We loved the mobile integration with our Android phones, and being able to take notes quickly on-the-fly. We still use some features of this today, but only on the free account.

What do you dislike?

We eventually outgrew the features of Base. We never could customise it how we wanted it and just generally grew tired of the shortcomings with how we managed client data.

We migrated most of our data to Hubspot which had all of the customization we needed

We were using Base for all of our Customer Relationship Management.
