What do you like best?

A great tool for managing employee spending. Each employee is given a set budget for the month that is loaded onto their cards. Can easily empower the employee to spend wisely. Once transactions are downloaded into Quickbooks desktop, reconciliations are very straightforward and easy to complete.

What do you dislike?

Our cards have been compromised a few times. It is a lengthy process for disputing transactions. We have had trouble getting the Quickbooks desktop sync to work properly, but we are able to still export to Quickbooks weekly.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

It is a great option for our smaller operation. While we have not used this on a large scale, I believe with multiple administrators it could be easily managed.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We have been able to track spending by department easier now with PEX. There is receipt capturing included for the cardholders so it takes the pressure off of our bookkeeper to process receipts. Each employee can have their own card, so there is less need to process reimbursement checks. You can set spend rules that will limit the places card can be used as well as cap spending amounts by day, week, or month. This has been especially helpful for us as it limits our cardholders to spending only where they should be spending. It also helps us to limit the amount spent per day which has helped us to catch fraudulent transactions easier as they will automatically decline purchases.

What do you like best?

I love the ability for the individuals who hold debit cards to upload receipts immediately after a purchase assigning the receipt to a purchase with notes to it so that it's less likely they will lose the receipt or forget why they made the purchase.

What do you dislike?

I dislike like that their is no reward system like a company credit card is capable of.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

As I have mentioned while recommending this product to others I know, this is a great product to keep track of spending of your employees. It doesn't require sorting through a statement at the end of the month to try and figure out which purchase belonged to whom? In addition, the ability to have employees with cards (each card carrying separate spending rules about how much per day they are permitted and what types of locations they can spend at) being able to upload a picture of a receipt with a note attached to the receipt immediately after a purchase has minimized the number of receipts at the end of each statement period we are trying to track down for validation. When someone needs to spend more than permitted on their card, it's easy to transfer money immediately to that card with the click of a button.

What do you like best?

I work in a distributed service industry, where I'm buying products every month and submitting them for reimbursement. The PEX system has almost instantaneous upload of transactions onto the system, so that I can log and complete the submittal right away.

What do you dislike?

The PEX system, at least for our set-up, has meant we can't access cash anymore as everything has to go through a debit card transaction.
