What do you like best?

The only thing I like about homebase is the message board.

What do you dislike?

I hate the way the it shows everyone’s schedule. I don’t like the way you have to request time off. Should just be able to select shifts, not hours. I don’t like when someone puts up a shift multiple people can accept it.

Schedulefly is so much better

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We were forced to switch from schedulefly to homebase. It has worsened my schedule viewing. I do not like it.

What are the best aspects of this product?

I have no idea. There are constant 505 error messages. NOTHING WORKS!!

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

The software simply does not work. i got nothing but error message on virtually any function.

What do you like best?

Users can track their hours and earnings by pay period.

What do you dislike?

Homebase no longer allows users to sign into an "unscheduled shift." When the feature did exist, my employers allowed me to come into work and lesson plan on my own time. Perhaps the feature will return.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Homebase allows us to keep track of all of our temporary employees' schedules across various job positions.

What do you like best?

Homebase does the job it needs to by showing who is working when and during what shifts. You can request to trade shifts with another employee (which then requires admin approval). You can also ask for people to cover your shifts or pick up "empty" shifts.

What do you dislike?

The app can be quite confusing. I often feel as if I run in circles to find certain functions. My biggest gripe about Homebase is how when you set your availability as an employee, it can only be set on a reoccurring week-to-week basis, so you have to "start a new avalibilty" every single week if your ability differs from week to week, which is extremely common for shift workers. They should really just have it so you can set each individual day of the month.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Use this if you are looking for a free option and have a small operation, but otherwise, I know there are better systems availible.

Homebase allows you to see who is working when from the comfort of your home and also sends you notifications before you have to work, so you never miss a shift!
