What do you like best?
I like their logo and name. I think that's about it.
What do you dislike?
There are applications I use on a daily basis that I love and the common denominator of the various applications I enjoy using is simple, intuitive user interface. Greenhouse is not one of them.
I never know where I am in this application because there are often 5 different navigation menus, from primary to tertiary horizontal navigation to primary and secondary vertical navigation. Navigating this site is like trying to solve a rubik's cube. I'm shocked that they've gotten this far along as a company with an interface that *everyone* in our company I've talked to about greenhouse says is confusing.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Their UI problems are certainly fixable, but I'm unsure whether it's a priority to their team.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
Applicant Tracking System / Recruiting Software. The only benefit I can see we've had since implementation is the storage of candidate data in a single repository, which is a solution to a problem we didn't really have.
What do you like best?
There is not a single thing that greenhouse is the best at in terms of ATS competition.
What do you dislike?
The reporting for Greenhouse is non-existent and the reporting that does exist is highly inaccurate. Our recruiting team has to purchase a third party service to integrate into GH APIs in order to get accurate reporting. Additionally, Greenhouse will roll out "features" that will completely change the work flow of the platform with no notice to existing customers. They recently changed their permission structure for users and when it became active, it bricked our ability to run any interviews. Its been 2 weeks since this change has been implemented and we still haven't worked out a solution. This is the least recruiting focused ATS I have ever used.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I could see greenhouse being a strong ATS when an extremely small recruiting team of 1 or 2 people. Anything more than that and it's just a nightmare to use.

Nothing. We are still trying to solve problems that greenhouse introduces.
Unfortuantely Greenhouse software is incomplete and allows for inaccurate representation of candidates. The way the software is set-up it only allows for candidates to choose from a pre-selected drop-down menu.
Don't use this software if you are interested in hiring the most qualified candidates - especially problematic for candidates who have studied/ worked overseas.
What do you like best?
Easy to schedule Hiring Manager interviews.
What do you dislike?
Horrific reporting and candidate search capabilities. Unless you subscribe to the highest tier you are forced to use their baked in reporting which is nearly useless. Finding a candidate that previously applied or attaching a prospect to a position that isn't open is nearly impossible. Add in the fact that information is spread across multiple pages requiring you to constantly be clicking around the platform it makes the experience cumbersome.

It is easier to track applicant status, progress, and prospects in Excel than it is in this system. In other words, none.
I like this software but have recently ran into and issue and trying to find actual contact detials for support is a joke. Considering people are almost always going to be trying to contact them during their working day this is just EXTREMELY POOR. I've wasted half an hour so far trying to find a contact email due to a serious issue with custom questions (serious being that some candidates seem to be able to skip our GDPR privacy question despite it being mandatory to answer) and all I do is go round in circles on their seld help articles. I'm highlighting this on my next call with our HR VP. I'm more than a little annoyed that I meed to waste time trying to get in touch when I'm so busy when it should be two or three clicks to contact them at most.
