What do you like best?
Ability to view spend data in real time in a clean and consumable UI. Ability to automate coding and upload receipts for easier search and navigation in the future.
What do you dislike?
Current lack of integration with my ERP. Entries must be downloaded then uploaded.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
Solving for managing central procurement spent and coding of those transactions for month end close. Using a traditional bank credit card meant that we had a long tedious exercise to code transactions, often resulting in hours of processing time. It was also not easy for someone new to pick up right away. We became heavily invested in a large spreadsheet that made sense to the builder of that spreadsheet but it wasn't a sustainable long term solution. We have saved a lot of time closing the books for the month because we no longer need to chase down and store receipts or invoices for transactions as they are all stored on the platform.
The tool also allows us to provide users of the card access to code their transactions themselves which relieves some of the burden from the central accounting team.
We have saved a significant amount of time in our month end close. We still have room to go but we have taken a process that once took multiple days into a task that can be completed in a matter of hours.
What do you like best?
I really like the dashboard. I also really appreciate that the team set up our chart of accounts; it was an easy transition from Expensify
What do you dislike?
We were only approved for up to $2k of credit. We settle weekly, so that ends up being "up to" $8k/month, but that's fairly inadequate. I'm not an underwriter, but I think we should at least get $8k of credit if we're going to settle weekly.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I really like the potential of Center. I was drawn to it because it could facilitate cash reporting and provide a cheaper alternative to Expensify.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
Center solves the problem of having to chase down people to fill out expenses reports. Our VP of Sales remarked how much she likes the dashboard where she can see spending by category.
What do you like best?
Ease of use. Use it like my own credit card.
What do you dislike?
nothing. The only thing is that I have to separate my personal vs work so I need 2 cards when going shopping.

Can't use one card at grocery check out for business vs personal. I teach cooking so all expenses are grocery
What do you like best?
Constant reminders for our project managers in the field to capture their receipts and job cost each expense on the spot.
What do you dislike?
Some functionality only available on the website not in the app.

Very flexible tool that can give great insight into your business and integrate seamlessly into not only accounting but also operations.

Center Expense has cut our month ending closing process time down significantly. We no longer are chasing receipts and trying to figure out what jobs the expense is for. Additionally, we can load our transactions into Quickbooks on a weekly basis and limit required month end activities.
What do you like best?
The coding is specific to our company and we can add branches and GL codes as needed.
What do you dislike?
The staff is not very tech savy so they are slow to pick up the pace. But it is not an issue with Center.

Good product that is worth the time and effort to set up for your card users.

Solving the branch and GL coding we were having as well as the copies of the receipts.
Benefits are that the supervisors can review and approve expenses.
