The most dodgy SaaS product I've ever subscribed to. After using it with our team for a while we decided to try something else. I tried finding the deactivation button (scanning through the site, didn't find anything). They've cleverly hidden the section where you can actually find some information about canceling your subscription. Finally I find it and it says you have to contact support at 15five.com to get the link. Now, I do that and a person comes back telling me about some steps to download my data and finally click a link to find the deactivation button. Once I finally do, it tells me I have to log in again (I was already logged in). I use my same details as ever (Chrome stores my passwords) and guess what? It says it's the wrong username and password. I click the "recover my password" button, and it never sends me the email. I have still not been able to cancel my subscription. TL;DR: 15Five is making you go through all these insane loops hoping you'll give up and not cancel their product. It's the most customer-hostile product I've ever used until this day. Congratulations guys - ironically, your software is about employee engagement!

The best part I think 15five has is that it gives us a way to express our feeling and make comments about a certain range of things.

What do you dislike?

There are 2 things that I don't like about 15five.

1. The reviewers are your supervisor and his boss and the boss of his boss...etc. You know they gave you salary and in reality it is not possible that you agree with them for everything. As a result, a lot of people started writing meaningless comments like 'fine, good, okay' and even '.......' for an answer. I means when you are not okay with the way how business should run or how your boss treats you, talking to a 3rd party who would tend to this issue later may help, talking to your boss about it, that just get your fired or demoted. Some ass-kissers began his way of ass-kissing on 15five. What's the point then?

2. It is about the questions that our admin set up. Question like 'How many times you had lunch or enjoyed coffee with your teammates?". Management likes to see big number, then everyone starts putting 10, 20, 30...and the ones who works really well with all teammates may say 'huh.. 3?" I mean does the answer matter?

Question like "Did you feel like you had a productive week? What would you do to make next week more productive?" There is a logic trap in this. If you admit there is something that you could do next week to make it more productive, then how come you didn't apply that methodology this week? Are you trying to be lazy? If you say "I am fine this week, very productive, I couldn't think of a way to become more productive", your supervisor would just reply "You are not perfect, there is always room to be better." Life is just so hard...

Recommendations to others considering the product:

It would be better to train the admin on what questions to ask. Take this question for example, "How do you feel about your supervisor?" Every time we see this, I bet everyone just put "good/very good" as an answer. Remember to reviewer is your supervisor.

Also, it makes more sense that a third party collects the answers, analyze them and work with the management. Not every time it is the employee's fault. Management is human too.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

it doesn't solve problem... it is more like a homework you will have to finish every week just to get your KPI (Yes, my company put competing 15five a KPI). If I need to solve any problems, I would have done it fast and nicely face to face already.

What do you like best?

We basically use this system to answer the weekly questions of general satisfactions and needs of the people in the company. So, in general it let's your boss know if you felt happy, if there is something you need, or want to know, expectations, in a week base. And also we use it to give Kudos to others, this helps people thankful and it is a nice thing to do to be grateful even for small irrelevant things.

What do you dislike?

I guess that no one in the office has taken the time to examine, understand and configure 15five. I see that it has other options like KPI, KPO by teams, by groups, individual. Also it has like a feature for having 1-on-1s. But no one understands how to use it and of the other parts of the system. So either it is not very intuitive or someone has to take the time to explain the teams how to use all the features. Also, the questions that come in the questionnaire are somewhat generic. I don't know if it can also be tailored for our needs.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

I guess that someone from the company should take the time to personalize the questions and explain the system to the company, for us it has not been intuitive.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We basically use it to know how are people doing, if they are feeling nervous about something, what are their plans for next week and if they need something. This is good because in the regular calls and meetings you normally don't have time to talk about feelings and expectations and it is always important to know how are people feeling.
