What do you like best?
i dont like it.not sure why you would force users to make it more characters.

we had better options before corporate made us use it

Honestly, not much. It was difficult to use, especially for a team that was a mix of mac and PC users. On mac, especially difficult.
What do you dislike?
Messages seemingly weren't delivered - or at least weren't notified of delivery immediately .- noticeable difference in service between mac and PC.

Look elsewhere

Communication between multiple offices and multiple departments. We realized we needed it and needed a different product

Very little, truthfully. It does have an aesthetically pleasing design.
What do you dislike?
While the name seems to make it obvious, it does little to increase productivity or efficiency or communication. In fact, it lends itself to distraction.

It might require some clear guidelines for use within your company.

We were trying to solve the communication of teams in different buildings being cumbersome through email.

I like that other people can add you to groups
What do you dislike?
I dislike how many notifications I get from Yammer. I also don't like that it's hard to navigate, and it's hard to find what you're looking for. I don't like that you have to scroll up to find something that was said a long time ago.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Yammer is probably better for smaller companies with less groups. At a big corporation there's too many groups, which makes it hard to find what you're looking for.

I have not solved any business problems with Yammer. There are little benefits.
What do you like best?
I don't really like it at all... but if I had to say something it would be that it's a webapp.
What do you dislike?
The interface, the notifications, and the lack of realtime communication capability.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would look elsewhere, at something like Slack.

We tried to solve the company intercommunication problem with it, but no one cared to use it or enjoyed the interface so we switched to Slack and then Teams.
