What do you like best?
WeTransfer is a cloud-based file sharing platform that helps businesses of all sizes manage, share, download, store and upload multimedia files, data and documents.
It allows sending up to 2 GB of files to several recipients, free of charge and up to 20 GB with the paid version. It has a simple interface to share files and documents with colleagues and friends in a very easy and extremely efficient way, this makes it the de facto option when you need to send files through the internet.
What do you dislike?
After sharing dozens of files with family, friends and colleagues, there is only one problem with WeTransfer: most uploaded files, sent through free accounts, will expire after 7 days. Most of the time, this is more than enough, but it can cause some problems having to reload exactly the same large files because the recipient has not taken the time to download them. A great feature that could potentially save some bandwidth for everyone would be the ability to extend the expiration date a day or two before it is supposed to expire. As an alternative solution for now, in fact it is convenient to have a Premium account to avoid this pitfall.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
WeTransfer is very easy to use, both for the sender and the recipient. In fact, no user needs to create an account to get started: it's just a matter of using the intuitive interface to upload one or more files and indicate an email to receive them. This is useful for sending files that are too large to attach in an email but must still be delivered to people who are not necessarily experts in technology. There is also a very useful function available to generate a link instead of sending an email. It has always worked perfectly and offers valid reasons to switch to a paid account, especially for the additional benefits it offers: you can transfer 20 GB at a time; store up to 100 GB; the files are kept longer; You can password protect the files and you can even have your own personalized web address with a custom wallpaper. Even with a free account, it never feels like a limited service: downloads and uploads are fast and reliable.

In principle, I started using WeTransfer because of my need to send files quickly and easily, the first thing I liked was that there was no need to register to use it and I could use 2GB in my favor, I also liked the fact that I could send the file through a link or an email and that in this I will be notified when the other person arrives and also that it allowed me to keep track of my files.
WeTransfer, besides being very easy and intuitive to use, allows you to present your downloads in style with your own backgrounds and a personal URL. Additionally
It offers password-protected transfers (with Plus accounts) to ensure your files never fall into the wrong hands. All this together with the efficiency and ease allows us to guarantee that we are facing the tool that should be used by any user interested in sending files through the internet
We Transfer sent me emaiL that files about to be deleted...I contacted them as their "download" was not working..... no lIve human to call OF COURSE.. EMAILED no response but did get more emails telling me how they have the problem solved.. WHAT SOLVED.. now lost pictures, videos of deceased father.. THEY SUCK DON'T USE THEM EVER.
Download link expires after 1 week, even with small files. Terrible set-up, better services can be found. Not recommended.
Wetransfer used to be the best.....before rebranding to "Collect - by wetransfer" was launched. This has to be the worst ever android app update in history ! It no longer works properly. Files won't upload in full, downloads disappear to where I don't know ? They are nowhere to be found on my device. Photos have to be uploaded one at a time, no joke when you want to send fifty or more. They've devised a stupid and pointless "boards" interface, that's very complicated and very rarely functions with uploads failing at about 80%. Then it's time to start again. Sent files arrive with half the contents randomly missing.The developers are reluctant to restore the original version which was virtually perfect and worked like a dream, doing exactly what it was supposed to do.......transfer files ! This latest offering is no more than a trashy gimmick that is trying to replicate a social media site.....and failing miserably....TOTAL RUBBISH !WETRANSFER REMOVED MY PLAYSTORE REVIEW.....SO THEY CAN HAVE IT HERE INSTEAD !
Using the internet app you can only upload one photo at a time....WHY??? The old version was brilliant, you could just tag many photos from your phone or PC at once and attach them ready to send - it took seconds - now it takes an age having to sift through your phone or pc directory structure each time, and then scroll through potentially thousands of photos just to select one and then follow the entire process all over again for the second, third, fourth etc. etc. I tried to use the collect app but it is overly complicated and fails miserably. In this day and age I don't want to have to search many help documents on the web or read a huge tutorial just to use what should be a very simple app.....ridiculous.Why take something simple that worked great, like the original version, and totally mess it up, it beggars belief.
