My sites are being messed up, and I keep reporting it and trying to get the problem fixed with there Webstarts builder and no one is doing anything, it's a been happening for a long time..then they,'re always threatening to close my account for complaining about the problem, I keep reporting the issues and they refuse to fix it, when the elements that are suppose to be selectable are not, the text boxs are not functioning correctly, things aren't staying where I saved it or change on there own, I set the parameters for a text, color, size, don't, when I go to edit the words , it all changes to small and completely different things, then I have to redo, if I write a paragraph, and click at any part of it, Ex: the bottom of the paragraph, it moves to the top, it keeps moving to the top every time, so there's no way to edit sections of it, if its a lot of Context, it keeps zooming in an out on its own, and then selects on things, moving them around, it's fuzing the text box , the images and moving them to different places on the page and then makes it not selectable, like it's all the background, there's no way to even fix, because it won't let me select anything, it's the same with text box shadows, I try to change it and it wont, no matter how many times I click on it select to remove or change a color it remains the same and I know it's being maliciously done, they have a server, that has compression, I only had a few pictures, yet it was slow, asked if it can be turned they said no, they Don t know about that, but last year for a different website I have with them, I had the same problem, I had to call multiple times to get different people because the same person keeps telling me nothings wrong that's just how it is, but when I called again the other person said their going to check, when they did it was off, and it was supposed to be on, so it is available but they have the same person doing wrong against me and messing my website, costing a lot of money, and no one has done anything, the only emails they answer are the ones pointing out that no company should do these thing's let these things happen, they dont want to be called scum, after many request to fix my issues that they are causing and refusing to fix, they saying it's not happening here, but one minute the websites renders to fix the screen, and the next its not, Now I have to scroll to the right, but I didn't change anything to affect the lines, where the end of screen stops or screen width, is being manipulated by someone from Webstarts and I know it the same person they have always answering my calls, they use let us manipulate the screen width, but not now, but they have the ability to manipulate it, so i know it's maliciously being done, I know they could never pass a real lie dector test, because they all guilty, they don't want to solve the problems, they want me to lose the many years working on my sites and my money by wanting to cancel and to give a refund, it's going to be millions, thats the amount of time I spent on these sites ... I don't want to deal with the same person In the time, that gives moving for people that are not doing whats right to get away with a lot of wrong, and it makes no sense, Now they refuse to fix the problems, but its been years and I'm not going to let this go their guilty, i paid my money and don't deserve to be caused harm too...even if it means getting lawyer...it 's that bad... I talk with the owner, he acts like he's trying to assist, but its the same problems every day, they lied to over bill me, then they are now refusing to provide copies of my website that I have paid in full, the owner contacted me because he wants me to remove the review, but only acts lie he is helping, because these problems should not continue everyday, I tried to work with him, but its the same thing, I decided to back up my site and give myself options, they are now refusing to let me download my website, from the start the targeted me and has been maliciously committing a lot of wrongs against me. Because the agent they put in charge of my account wanted to tell how to make my site and I didn't want to, all these things started happening and the owner is also doing these things, but acts like he's not, I wish I could prove guilt, even more wish they would all suffer the consequences worst than said to take place in HELL, their definitely guilty.

Webstarts recently made two unauthorized charges- EARLY and without my permission! I did NOT 'officially renew' as I'd been EXTREMELEY dissatisfied- especially after talking to some 'moron' by phone who didn't know his a** from his elbow, was very 'wiseguy' attitude etc! So, they totally deleted our site ( which the basic site is supposed to be FREE!! Their audio sucks and I don't like the fact the supposed 'OWNER' is VERY personable leading up to signing up for a 'payed account' ( NOT worth it!!) but after one joins... does NOT answer e-mails.... MONEY-HUNGRY NASTY SITE!!! STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Had to CANCEL my debit card after my banks FRAUD/DETECTION team caught 'suspicious activity' on my account which resulted in a MULTITUDE of headaches and having to wait for a NEW debit-card for 9 days!

Dont expect customer service here. Totally rude from a guy named "Steve".Also are not secure. I paid for my subscription using two different credit cards and both were hacked the same day. I do not recommend at all.

You're better off creating a site somewhere else that doesn't want to take your money every chance it gets. If you want to open an online store DO NOT use WebStarts. You have to upgrade your account in order to view all the information someone has submitted through a contact form. Not to mention if you need to view details of an order form that someone has submitted, you again need to have an upgraded account. Being able to view orders or look at contact submissions are the most important features, and usually come free on other sites. Dedicated most of my day finally getting my site together and ready, only for it to be a TOTAL waste of time.Edit: My complaint isn't that the site isn't free. It's understandable that using a platform to make money would ask for an investment of some sort. My complaint is that the website isn't upfront about the fees to begin with. The only reason I found about certain features is because I tried to send test messages to myself and could not viee them. Even if the purpose of the site created is to make a blog, I don't see why simply being able to see a message that someone sent you through a form is hidden behind a paywall. As someone who's tried out Wix before and didn't like it too much, I would prefer it simply because compared to what WebStarts offer users for free, it's much more flexible and customizable, AND getting messages via contact form from readers/viewers is free.Edit 2: To clarify, when I said customization I was referring to the overall customization of the site, not the forms. The only thing you really need a contact form to do is get the person's name, contact, and message sent (which you can view without upgrading). In regards to price, I feel wix's features that users the needs (and more) to run a site vs more luxury features that a user would want (like opening shop, domain names, etc) are balanced enough to not make at users (at least me personally) feel like they were backed into a corner. Also, I don't feel it's too necessary to contact directly since I already know WebStart's stance in the matter.

They remove features from time to time when they see that people use them the most. It was great in 2020, but they changed a lot. They delete your website with no consent, they don't even notify you. It's still a good choice for local stuff, but for international, I recommend you to look elsewhere.
