What do you like best?
subscription plan is convenient and do not have to commit to be expensive plan. The scenario build is easy to use and helps when you are trying to architect the environment. You can test your scenario before putting into production. Gui is user friendly with color coding. Phone numbers can be easily purchased.
What do you dislike?
The bot can be glitchy and does not work correctly unless it's setup with lot of details. Setup can be difficult if you do not know json or understand the technology.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
perfect for automating call routing and self service phone calls for your help desk team.
What do you like best?
Severless - their VoxEngine lets you run simple to complex application logic all on their servers so you don’t need to setup your own
JavaScript - their engine is based on JavaScript instead of XML, make it much easier to code and debug, especially more complex scenarios
IDE - their web IDE includes auto-completion and debugging tools, so you can go pretty far without needing their docs
Dialogflow Connector - they are the only CPaaS vendor on the market with both a full set of Dialogflow APIs. Connecting to an existing Dialogflow bot only takes a couple minutes.
Support - they have always been quick to get back to me, even in off-hours
What do you dislike?
As good as their cloud IDE is, for more complex projects I miss using my usual IDE. I wish they had an easier way to mix locally run/developer code with what you can do in their cloud IDE like what AWS and GCP have for their lambda/cloud functions.
Python support in their cloud environment might also help for some projects.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is great if you like JavaScript and don’t want to dig through XML guides on how to do something.
Their platform has many layers. This is great for complex projects or building multi-tenant apps, but much of this isn’t needed if you are starting with something simple. Start with their quickstarts and add complexity from there as you need it. I have not used their
Voximplant Kit product extensively, but that is another simpler way to get started.
They provide free test numbers you can use by entering a PIN code after dialing, but for what usually comes to less than a couple of cents a call, I find it easier to just buy an extra number for development and testing purposes.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
I have used them as part of a mobile app-based click-to-call solution and to build conversational IVRs.
Their mobile SDK saved my team several weeks of development time and probably a lot more in subsequent maintenance.
I have been able to make some compelling conversational IVRs by combining their CPaaS platform with Dialogflow. There are a lot of features that Dialogflow’s own Phone Gateway does provide that you just can’t enable easily with other platforms. It's nice to be able to replicate systems that cost hundreds of thousands of upfront costs plus ongoing feeds for only pennies per minute.
What do you like best?
Simple, easy to implement CPaaS solution, complete w/ native Dialogflow. We had no issues interfacing via SIP. Their VoxEngine cloud environment made it easy to adjust our setup without having to involve our regular developer staff. Their billing is very transparent and their CDR reporting was easy to incorporate into our systems.
Voximplant is a great go-to platform when we have special projects that extend our own capabilities and for prototyping new offers.
What do you dislike?
I wish they had a multi-user account setup that could give individual users limited rights. We could have used that with some of our remote teams, and it would be nice to keep the finance guys away from the operational controls.
I understand they are working on this capability.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
We were able to help a customer add affordable IP calling in a region that had expensive and unreliable cellular coverage. This helped us maintain a loyal and large customer.
We also used their CPaaS layer to prototype custom solutions for several customers before investing in a full-scale buildout. Their ability to spin up service quickly has saved us a ton of time and money.
What do you like best?
Vox does have a ready to use plug and play connector for Dialogflow, you can use it in 5 minutes, this is not the only cool feature, they have a script (called scenario) for that, and you are able to edit and manipulate it and customize it (as we did)
Documentation is very good. you can find whatever you need there
Customer support is good and you will get answer quickly
What do you dislike?
I would like some features like auto payment, or webhook per line number, but you can live without it.

Connecting to Dialogflow Telephony in 5 minutes
What do you like best?
The Voximplant platform has a lot of pros - complete freedom, transparency and the pay as you go format. You can configure telephony to fit your needs, receive detailed analytics on calls, do not have staff around the clock serving the call center, and pay only for what is currently being used.
What do you dislike?
Voximplant made a change to one of their API’s that was not clearly documented. This caused us a minor issue and we had to go to support to understand what happened. Our manager promised that this would not happen again, and fortunately it has not :)

We built an Automatic Call Distribution (ACD) system that takes incoming customer calls, handles entry of customer credit card information into our CRM, and connects users to our couriers without exposing any private phone numbers or credit card information.
