Marg Vidyard

We loved Vidyard until today. We were using them on the free plan to create ABM landing pages, and the product worked well. You can easily create customer video's that can be used for outbound marketing.

SHADY. Today, Vidyard decided to completely remove the embedding feature of our plan. We had customer facing videos in outbound sequences, and then our customers showed up with a broken link on the embed. When we contacted their team, we received a message of "we fixed a bug today, and you weren't supposed to have access to that feature". This is a complete Bait and Switch tactic and they are now holding our videos hostage unless we pay them $2,000. They clearly must be having trouble selling so they are going for a money grab. A legitimate business would have contacted their customers to tell them of the switch, giving them time to make a decision. This is about as bad as it gets.

It's a semi-easy tool to use. It has a limited subset of features for the sake of ease and convenience. But that's where the problems start and just don't seem to end.

Lack of mobile integration fluidity is the biggest issue. It only integrates with the native mail app on the iPhone and won't give you options to utilize alternative or at least enterprise email accounts. The sheer insanity of not having that built out after all this time is just crazy.

The fact that I can upload videos onto the platform. Support was pretty fast too.

They do not offer a free trial of the product. I purchased one of their packages and didn't find it useful for what I needed it for. The MixMax and Vidyard integration didn't work as I thought it would and it looked pretty clunky so I decided that this wasn't a good solution for me. There's no way I'd be able to know that Vidyard works the way I want it to without me actually going into the software and trying it out myself.

There was no option but to purchase the product and thought I'd be able to get a refund but unfortunately, they don't give any refunds even though I didn't get what I wanted.

Simple to use. Helps organize videos in one player. Also really liked the ability to include a CTA button at the end of a vid.

It was quite confusing at the start as I had no clear idea what the software actually does. The lack of clear explanations on the website and youtube channel didn't make the situation any better I kept asking myself questions like:

- So is it a cloud storage and distribution platform?

- Is it an editing platform?

- If I want a video embedded in a blogpost I post to my site via hubspot, how does Vidyard come into play?

- If all my other tools, email marketing tool/hubspot can embed videos smoothly, why do I still need Vidyard?

very simple and easy email integration. I enjoy the idea and thought process behind Vidyard's capabilities.

It's not that I dislike VidYard, I think they have done an extremely amazing job with their product and it's integration into other programs as well. My issue is more related to having my vidyard email attachments actually clicked and opened, which is very rare.
