What do you like best?
Doesn't melt my computer. It had a free trial.
What do you dislike?
Much like many Symantec apps, it's very bloated and sluggish and tends to make most computers actually run slower than without it.
Recommendations to others considering the product
If you can get a free trial, then go for the trial. But I wouldn't recommend paying for it.
What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
A quick way to automatically backup to the cloud, found a far better solution.
What do you like best?
The interface hasn't changed much since I started using it. It is a reliable solution for tape backup.
What do you dislike?
It was a great product 10-15 years ago, and maybe it still is in a fully physical environment. In a virtualized environment something like Veeam is a better solution.

If you are completely virtualized, consider something like Veeam instead.

Backup to tape. But now that Veeam supports tape backup, we're moving away from NetBackup.
What do you like best?
There isn't a lot left to like about the program, now owned by Symantec.
What do you dislike?
The lack of customer support, the lack of 32-bit OS support, and comparing it to other programs, its not as fast and up to par.

It does what it is supposed to do. It is pretty basic.

restores take a while, not very user friendly interface. Expensive and did not have a good customer service experience on multiple occasions

we need a backup solution. We have been able to restore lost files.

Secure, role-based administration with access control and audit tracking feature are very good. one can access files and data in anywhere from virtual machine

Although pictorially represent all activity and data backed up but some time it 's hard to understand and filter the data

storing some impotent files and documents that are related to our client promises and software requirement document that are aggregated by client. allow role based access to employee to read and edit the documents
