It is free, so you do not need to shell out hundred/thousands of dollars for Adobe products. You can do simple illustrations and vector drawings, especially if you just need something simple to import into your image for editing. It has a nice, handy little pen tool, which is good for everything if you're familiar with using the pen tool in Illustrator or any other Adobe products.

It doesn't have ANY of the powerful tools that I've come to rely on from Adobe Illustrator, especially the image trace function. It is very limited in size, shape, and even color for the type of illustrations you can do, and you're sometimes better off just finding an existing image rather than trying to hand draw it. There is also an annoying feature where every time you click the icon in the Dock (I use a Macbook, it opens up a new window, which is frustrating when all I want to do is switch to the current open window like other applications do.

It's free and seems okay, but there are better free tools out there.

I like how smooth the interface is. Very simple and straight forward. Has all of the main tools as higher priced design programs.

Font choice is vast but limited. I did not see a feature that allows the use of system fonts.

I enjoyed the portability of everything being cloud based and behind an email/password access.

The interface was for the most part intuitive and easy to grasp. We even used the tool for collaborative work. Great for planning, flow charts, preliminary brainstorming of branding, marketing, and template layouts.

The web-based interface was a little buggy, especially with multiple users. They have cleaned this up recently, however it could be more reliable. We had some layers get quirky and ultimately had to start a couple files over from scratch.

Vectr has low learning curve and free of cost, this makes it a must try tool for graphics designing. Give a shot!

Something that stands out to me is that the design tools in Vectr aren't overly novice DIY tools that play up the user-friendliness angle. Sure, Vectr is simple enough for novice users to use, but it can also be leveraged for more advanced designs. It's awesome that we can work with and save vector graphics. Many other online software platforms I've seen only allow rasterized image files like JPEG and PNG. The price for using Vectr and all its features is not too bad. I'm glad we can afford it.

I'm used to using more advanced graphic design applications like Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, so there are many aspects about the tools that fall short of the vast capabilities of those two applications. Vectr works for simple graphic projects or making minor adjustments to existing graphics, but I would find it really hard to perform all of the design processes I need with just Vectr alone.

I think Vectr strikes a good balance between user friendliness, advanced editing features and value for the price. I would recommend trying it out to see how the tools work for your particular projects. A template could get your projects going quickly.

Whenever I need to design something simple and quickly, I can turn to Vectr from any computer to get design work done. The tools weren't too complicated to use, so it was helpful I didn't have to spend hours trying to figure out how things work. In many ways, Vectr is actually more beneficial than professional software like the two from Adobe I mentioned, since Vectr offers tools that are geared towards certain design types, like infographics, in a more direct way than the Adobe software.
