What do you like best?

TradeGecko is basically a standalone inventory program, with lots of great features but limited flexibility

What do you dislike?

Horrible customer service. Inflexibility to make any custom changes. Does NOT sync both ways with Xero! It is promoted as a Xero partner, but the synchronization is not adequate to rely on it for accounting purposes. It pushes data into Xero, where it then must often be corrected and put into the right chart of accounts as TradeGecko dumps the transactions all into one purchase account and one expense account. Pathetic. The WORST is that none of the data from Xero syncs back to TradeGecko. So for example, when a customer pays a bill, it must be entered TWICE - one time in Xero, and then again in Tradegecko. We also have had a nightmare trying to correct inventory levels, which have been wrong since the beginning. We show a shortage of 1 million units of a sku, so then we make a 1 million unit adjustment to equal it out, and then the next day it shows 2 million extra. WTF? The bottom line is that we have been using this program for 18 months and we still can't run any report and know that the information is correct. COGS are always wrong, actually inventory never matches reports, and it is just a cumbersome program to try to make right. I should also add that we have a full time IT manager and a 20 year veteran accountant, so it isn't our personnel with the problem. We really want to love this program, the idea of it is fantastic and if they can solve these issues they could have a first rate program. Unfortunately, they are far from that right now. I hope they get it together.

Recommendations to others considering the product

TradeGecko is great for a new business, but I would be hesitant to use it when switching from an enterprise level business. Run your old system concurrently with TradeGecko for a month to make sure it does what you need it to do.

We transitioned from Quickbooks Enterprise to Xero. Xero is fantastic, it solved all of our accounting challenges. Tradegecko came short as an inventory program.

The platform has a lot of features that make it a robust inventory management offering.

What do you dislike?

The UX interface is not intuitive, slow, and is reminiscent of late-2000s-era websites.

We are able to track inventory in multiple locations, including understanding what is in transit, what is on order, and on hand.

That it offers inventory management, invoice raising and customer management

What do you dislike?

That it doesn't update automatically, that after you move stock, you then have to go and accept it. I also really dislike the new interface, where history tab is off the far right, but I dislike even more, that you can't see product details (or even basic details like barcode, when you are looking at product history or location. Finally, I dislike that I can't search by the characteristics I have set up to describe a product - ie size.

it's relatively good but also good to know the weaknesses it has.

What do you like best?

We organize the sales and have our products saved in products categories and groups. The dashboard gives smart direct functions that allows me to see the general and most important data directly there. Products can be scanned and they will appear directly in the right category.

What do you dislike?

The product type category allows just a maximum of 20 signs and the short name it's not possible to change if you have set it one time. I know that's a problem for the system but I don't understand why this can not be changed.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Product shortcut name can't be changed - so it's necessary to be sure that the name fits - otherwise you have to cancel the whole product unit and set and save a new one.

Analyze the sales and purchases to be sure that the amount comes to a positive result - we have connected the several marketplaces and so was possible to have a perfect overview of the ongoing business sales directly in the dashboard.
