What do you like best?
Access to homeowner information & work order system.
What do you dislike?
Cannot get letter templates nor billing statements created and installed properly. The TOPS staff does not have the answers either and their response is. "You'll just have to figure it out" In many instances you can tell that TOPS knows there is a problem with the software but has no fix for it.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Wait, it is not ready.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
Right now we are not solving any problems but rather creating more. No benefits realized yet.

Under no circumstances would we ever want you to feel that you had to figure it out on your own.
We have specifically assigned a Client Success Manager to each TOPS ONE client to help insure a smooth transition process. Part of their job is to help you with your templates and reports to get your outputs exactly the way you need.

What do you like best?
Cost is affordable at only $0.50 per door.
What do you dislike?
Their support is by far the worse I have ever experienced. After three days when I submitted a ticket for support I still did not get a callback to resolve a simple problem of adding a new user. I had to threaten them of changing software companies and 10 minutes they called me. This happens to all of our employee and they have pretty much just given up on their support now.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would recommend Vantaca or AppFolio who has better support and about the same user friendly as Tops one. Both are also web-base software.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
We are currently shopping for another software company due to their lack of support. We would rather pay a higher price and not lose business for better support. I have not realized any benefits of Tops One other than being web based when we changed to them from Tops Pro.
What do you like best?
Tops One makes it easier for me to create and keep track of violations.
What do you dislike?
It is always hard to adjust to a new system. Tops One doesn't make the transition the easiest, but they do offer more support in adjustment than their previous system.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
Tops One makes following up on Violations a lot easier, this is the biggest benefit.

It's never easy transitioning to a new system, and we've had a wobbly start with getting our onboarding process right. I can assure you that we are actively working to make implementation easier and better for new clients coming on board, but I know that doesn't help you now. What do you like best?
Once learned, it is fairly easy to use as far as looking up residents, adding charges to their accounts, etc. Once all the data entry is done, hopefully it should be easier to pull up reports.
What do you dislike?
We had to create new sections for marina. It's working out OK, but not great. It will be a continuing work in progress as we try to work out the bugs.

Check out all aspects of TOPS to make sure it meets most of your requirements, anything lacking can be added.

Once we get the bugs worked out, hopefully we will solve the issue of residents being able to see what charges and fees are on their account.

It sounds like you are in the process of implementing Owner Access, which I think you will absolutely love - not only will your owners be able to look up their balances and account history, they will also be able to pay assessments, download community documents, and communicate with their manager on issues like open violations and requests for service.
