What do you like best?
It is very intuitive, you can perform very simple tasks to draw 2d plans and model in 3d in a parallel way, it has included a bar of options to insert doors, windows, allows you to adjust the dimensions and the parameters of the objects that you insert, from the interfaces You can see both views, both the floor and the 3d and the toolbar on one side is quite ordered.
It is very easy to use and it can be interesting to try some furniture design ideas in defined environments, it is useful for doing very basic tasks.
What do you dislike?
It does not comply with the parameters and requirements for projects with professional appearance, its scope is limited, its preset tools are not flexible and designing environments is a task that leaves you unsatisfied with the result, the furniture that you can insert is limited and is very bad accomplished.
The gallery of objects available for insertion have a discontinued appearance, they do not correspond to the current market of available products.

You should not have high expectations regarding the results, it is very useful to introduce the world of 3d design and understand basic concepts of design software.

It was a tool used to generate tests of interior design and appearance of furniture proposals, a tool for temporary use to show basic aspects of forms and characteristics of designs placed in certain environments, the result although quick to opt was not what we expected.
It is not a program of daily use, nor is it necessary for it to be handled by the entire design work team, it is not an indispensable tool.

I like how you can make your 3D home realistic and see how it will look when the building has finished

I had no previous training so I had to find YouTube videos on it which I didn’t find many off.

What do you like best?
Sweet Home 3D is a fairly easy to use program to help design layouts in houses without having to use a pen and paper. It offers a 3d type viewing engine for displaying furniture and other items within designated rooms. The program is not the most up to date nor the easiest to use. However, it does a number of different types of furniture and other objects that can be manipulated to produce a fairly accurate view of what a house will look like after its furnishings are moved in. Where it excels is the price tag, which can be quite nice.
What do you dislike?
The interface could definitely use updates and its object library functions could be expanded as well. The layout tools are not always intuitive and the program can run slowly at times. Essentially you are getting what you pay for and that is not necessarily a bad thing. The program feels like a bargain basement product at times but still works.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely consider other products on the market and look at more expensive products. The price increase for a better product might be worth it for some consumers. On the other hand, the program does work fairly well without too many bells and whistles. It can be a great bargain for those on a budget.

Creating basic layout plans and models for a house.

I used the program to make a number of garden designs. This works fine but I miss the objects to add them to get a better picture of how it will actually be.

I would appreciate it if more objects were added. I tried to draw a home with the program. I don't like the interface for that. However, I know that it is a free program so I take that for granted.

it is free to use so try if it works for you!

By using the program I have been able to design a garden a number of times and make it for people.
What do you like best?
a lot of assets used are open source, the 2D view is excellent, the 3D view is pretty good way to visualise stuff. All scales perfect.
What do you dislike?
certain furniture types don't exist so you have to instead modify the dimensions of a diferent piece of furniture, which can be a little jarring in 3d view when you have a 6 foot tall sofa in place of a certain item, for example.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's free for most features that you'd want, so I can't say much is up with it. Learn to modify furniture pieces dimensions, as the pieces come in standard sizes which won't be anything similar to your own house in most cases.

Used this to redesign my kitchen. It was a great way to visualise the design.
