What do you like best?
Overall experience is good. It allows me to better understand both my booking and my scalability. It also allows me to create custom analysis. It makes billing and payment of exemptions very easy and is great for keeping track of money coming in / out and keeping an eye on invoices due for payment. Payroll is included( you can file it with HMRC via FreeAgent or let your financial adviser do it separately.
What do you dislike?
Exporting information is a bit tricky in some other areas- you can get a pdf out very easily but an xls or csv would be much more useful( you can export the entire company dataset only as a csv, but not distilled key elements such as unpaid expenses or balances even within individual accounts. In some cases you can get round it by cutting and pasting. It is also one of the most expensive cloud accounting software packages out there.
Recommendations to others considering the product
I wanted to recommend this product to my colleagues but it's just a little bit too expensive for a startup small sole trader companies.
What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
Saved us a good chunk of time and helped us keep clear and easy records for my accountant. We have since moved on to a more robust software but the cost was definitely a factor.

Easy to follow dashboard. Great help to have documentation saved within SpendWise (quotes, receipts, etc). Able to pull required reports for budgeting

Search option for purchase order item or description. Search has to be exactly as listed in Spendwise. Dashes or spaces have to be included (or excluded). Not being able to tailor vendor information as shown on a purchase order.

All the reports are great options. I am able to pull a report for projects whenever i need. Able to assist with budgeting
