Marg Speechify

It is horrendous that in this day and age you cannot cancel your membership in-app, and you have to contact an email address to cancel. Additionally the $30 a month is extortionate. Shame the product is so good, yet the pricing strategy is is so skewed to making you buy the annual membership.

When I first saw the cheesy ads for Speechify featuring founder Cliff I was fairly convinced this product was a scam. However, after seeing a number of YouTube productivity people I follow discuss Speechify and facing the pressures of college I decided to pay for the app. Looking for a deal I ended up buying a package that was essentially the free version advertised but I had to pay. It was my mistake though as I bought the package through a 3rd party so I said alright, I'll upgrade. So, I paid for the upgrade through the Android app. Boy did that Android version suck. So then I went to restore purchases on my Ipad and Web versions. No dice. So then I emailed customer services to explain. Bearing in mind I had paid twice at this stage! Having heard nothing back I processed a refund for my second purchase (the upgrade). 3 months later I get a response from the team at Speechify and it was a joke. Midway through the discussion with them where I was pointing out the F*** ups alongthe way they just stopped responding. Let's be clear - the pro version of their product is decent. The company itself is an absolute joke! Seeing Cliff float about in a swimming pool in a suit I should have known but decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. I was wrong. Face Value with Cliff the owner in the way he's branding himself (yo brah I hear reading and growth are cool brah) is actually pretty spot on with what you're getting. Superficialiaty with no substance

Unable to find a way to remove the widget from my phone. Deleted app but it’s still there in the way of everything! The app works well otherwise. Hang on, let me just move the widget so I can press enter without opening the app...again!!

This company is extorting people who tries out their app service. It always mention how much monthly but in reality they will charge you the full year price and unable to get a refund or partial payment when you realize how their app sucks. I was charged $139 and their customer service suck responding with the usual way of how to cancel but really, it's a cancellation instruction for the following year! I only used it for a month and there are so much better app out there that cost less. Don't get fooled by speechify!!! Stay away from it.

My daughter had a trial lesson on 8th July - 11am ISTMy daughter was very uncomfortable with the types of questions she asked.Most of the session she asked only personal questions. Only in the last 5 minutes did she ask what my daughter wants to do.And for that reply was "yes we can help you with it". Without providing any further explanation.It was a total waste of time for us to go for this trial class.She began by asking questions like What year in school are you, how long have you been in the country, what do you think about schools, ,What are your hobbies, what does your father do. What does your mother do? What sort of painting do you have in the background?It was almost as if there was some police questioning going on. She kept bombarding with questions one after the other in the same breath.The questions even went to a very personal level - such as why did you go to a girls school.With this line of questioning, my daughter became very uncomfortable.This type of questioning had nothing to do with the subject or the learning.This is very unprofessional. We booked a lesson to see if speechify can help us in specific areas. But the teacher had no interest in finding out what my daughter wanted help with.This session was a total waste of time and a bad experience.
