Marg Shift4 Payments

Avoid doing business with this company at all costs.  Horrible fraud protection despite their claims to have "industry leading" protection. September 2021 I had an attempted fraudulent purchase that I easily identified the wrong ZIP code on the billing address and other details didn't look right. I declined the charge based on my discussion with Customer Service, but in October they took $309.99 from my business bank account as a "chargeback" for the sale that I was never paid for in the first place. November they said my chargeback was reversed in my favor but they were holding my money until April 2022. It's now late May 2022 and I still don't have my money. Emails go unanswered and phone calls get me empty promises. I've wasted so much time on hold and being bounced around to different departments who either transfer me somewhere else or promise to resolve the issue without actually doing anything.

Our company's contract is with HarborTouch for ACH deposits. They recently switched to Shift4 for their processing and customer service has suffered. There have been issues with delayed deposits because of Shift4 system problems. When Covid shut down the economy, Shift4 began withdrawing THEIR percentage each day to assure they would be paid but they are much less concerned when their customers face 'funding delays' that originate with Shift4. I intend to leave as soon as I can make arrangements with another processor.

Very easy to configure and use. Great customer service too.
