What do you like best?

How affordable it is. The fact that we can cancel anytime was a BIG bonus for us. Thank god cancelling at any time is an option - you're gonna need it.

What do you dislike?

Salesforce sync is in REALLY bad shape. Do not use SharpSpring if you need to sync to a CRM. Ever.

After some initial hiccups at the start that required extensive troubleshooting and fixing on the SharpSpring side, we finally got the sync working. Then, after about 6 months, it stopped syncing all together. It took close to 3 weeks for SharpSpring to figure out why. If you're a marketer that is judged solely on the leads you pass to Sales, you understand why this is a showstopper. Nearly cost me my job.

After that fiasco, they started charging me $100 a month for SF integration, with no warning or notice. By the way - it's in your contract that they can change their pricing at any time, for any reason, without notice. And they will - no matter what your sales person told you.

And now, as of this morning, I noticed that the Salesforce sync hasn't worked for almost 2 weeks. When I call support, they say "it's a known issue and we're working on it". If it's a known issue, why weren't customers notified? Why does your support screen say 'All Systems Normal'?

If the Salesforce sync stays down for as long as it did last time, I will most likely lose my job.

Don't do it!

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We didn't need all the features that Marketo provided, so we scaled way down with SharpSpring. It is much more limited with lead processing and segmenting, so you kinda have to stick with the basics.

I haven't realized any bottom line benefits to using SharpSpring. It's a nightmare.

very average product. It is very difficult to integrate with other platforms - really, they need to work on integrations!

BILLING COMPLETELY DECEPTIVE. THEY WONT LET YOU OFF THE HOOK IF THE PRODUCT DOES NOT WORK FOR YOU. WHO DOES THAT? THIS IS A SOFTWARE - ANY OTHER COMPANY WILL LET YOU CANCEL. NOT SHARPSPRING! THEY WANT TO CHARGE FOR AN ADDITIONAL 60 DAYS!!!!

RIDICULOUS - DO NOT PURCHASE!

Need to improve hookups with other platforms - like webinar jam, teachable, etc. It does not connect to anything easily. Unlike infusionsoft which has many integrations. This was a terrible experience AND NOW when we want to cancel they want to charge 60 days! that's ridiculous.

Promises are no real, they promise something at start but later if you remind it you are the bad and they are not taking any responsiblity.

What do you dislike?

Ticket system restarts every time with any problems so if you need help for the simple job will take at least a month and many many emails. Client programmer solved that tasks less then 30 minutes.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Do not belive their emails and stories. Contract us where they are pointing if you are not happy with them and trial or money back is all fake. Ticket system take ages and it restarts every time with the new person involves. It is easier to solve problems without them. Integration took 3 weeks from pipedrive and still no success. They departments are not connected eith each other they are forwarding their issues to “managers” and then you are back in square one. Exit from system is really bad we closed even creditcard (cannot trust what hidden costs may come).

Tool looks good but they are growing too fast and support, onboarding and how they treat “hard” clients is really bad. Have been used many simular tools about 10+ years and this is really the first bad experience. Lost thousand of euros and client + our side working hours (100+). And in the end client is who holds the full responsiblity and took the loss!

What do you like best?

SharpSpring has a lot of features that appear impressive or useful on paper. The email linking is functional though not the easiest to implement.

What do you dislike?

The data they collect always seemed to be at odds with our other analytics and we were never able to reconcile them entirely. All sorts of problems with email deliverability due to early platform implementations relying on under powered external service accounts. After working with them it seemed like they launched with a series of promises that they mostly appeared to deliver on, as long as you didn't look too close. Upon closer inspection things started not to add up. The final straw was when they billed one of our clients for $8000 without notice, invoice, or warning. That prompted us to dig deeper into the actual fees structure vs what our clients were actually billed and that was a deeper rabbit hole than we signed up for. Ultimately that experiences broke what trust I had in the company and made me a lot more skeptical of the accuracy of a lot of this sort of product.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Be wary, compare their analytics data against your Google, Adwords, Search Console, and ecommerce sales if applicable. Pay close attention to your bill and question any costs you don't recognize.

The price seems reasonable. Customers like the price too.

Email reporting is inaccurate.

Email sync doesn't work properly.

Limited functionality -- it doesn't do everything they say it does.

User interface has room for improvement. Can't even sort the CRM by custom fields.

Support requests don't get solved.

I hasn't become a profit center. It has become a cost center in terms of time and money. We loose money on it every day.

We even moved our emails back to Constant Contact because it's more reliable.

Customer support are young and often don't know the product well enough to help.

Tech support never gets around to actually fixing inherent issues with the platform.

It's great in concept. Execution is not good. I called several agency partners while I was vetting the product. The term young came up. Other than that, we didn't have a real grasp of the issues until we got our first client on line with it. We spent a great deal of time talking with SharpSpring about what's broken. They say they will fix it and never do. Before you resell it to a customer, use it for a few months to it's fullest extent. If your customer isn't very smart, technical or experienced they may think it's good. Others will jump ship pretty fasts. We have found that the email delivery rates are extremely low compared to Constant Contact. The CRM is nearly useless. The campaign tracking doesn't work well. The workflows and tasks are complicated to set up. It doesn't actual sync with emails. Only incoming -- not outgoing. They say it's easy to integrate with other systems because of their API. But when you actually need to do it, they tell you they can't help. Every time I complain they just assign a new account rep to me. Apparently that's easier than actually making the application work properly. I've pulled two of their managers into the issues we've had as well. One of the issues they claimed to have solved, hasn't been solved. Support tickets that you file will likely not get addressed. We've had several sitting for months. Sometimes, they simply disappear.

We are reselling the product to customers. Other than having something new to sell, no problems have been solved. It creates problems.
