What do you like best?
Very little. I have been able to make very minor configurations and we limp along.
What do you dislike?
The Java tool is very hard to configure. It is not intuitive. There are no user manuals. The search system for the Knowledge Base is frustrating and a waste of time. v7.0 is a vast improvement from v5.0 but compared to other tools in the market (HP, MS Server, Clarity) its not even in the same league. Top 10 dislikes: Scheduler, restricted to assigning resources to tasks instead of projects, system is total effort based instead of planned vs. actuals, un-editable dashboards, working vs. published, token system....

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
We primarily use Sciforma for Resource Management. We do not use the RAM work space. We have managed to get our resources allocated and use the Resource Allocation report. We use the time reporting extension.
What do you like best?
There was usually a representative available from Sciforma to help us out/ answer our questions.
It's a powerful tool if people are trained right on using it.
What do you dislike?
It's got a lot of functionality, which can be confusing to a lot of the users, so it requires a lot set up and training. There's definitely a learning curve with the software.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely get trained on the tool and then roll it out to other users. The new web based version is much more user friendly than the previous versions which helps.

Resource allocations, time tracking, Earn Value Management.
Benefits - Tracking resource allocations at a high level helps to avoid project managers working silos.
What do you like best?
It was fit for purpose at the time and delivered the reports we needed. I like that we can create our own reports and don't have to use standard templates.
What do you dislike?
The version we have uses Java which we have no end of trouble with when setting up new users. It doesn't integrate with anything else i.e. our finance system therefore all entries are manual. The speed is sometimes an issue and users don't seem to like the look and feel.

sue the version that does not require Java

We didn't have any other solution for project reporting and needed to be able to track general status and risks and issues.
What do you like best?
I like that its functions are really useful, to carry out an adequate follow-up of the projects, which is very useful since it allows to see how the project is developed and executed in a very dynamic way.
What do you dislike?
It is not as attractive as I would like, from my point of view it lacks some more dynamic functions, but in general it works very well and I have not had any inconvenience in the time that I have been handling this tool.

It is a beneficial and very useful tool because it allows you to keep an active and effective follow-up of the projects, thus achieving a step-by-step description of how these projects are developed.
What do you like best?
As a project manager for the company where I work, having a tool that really helps me keep projects in order is crucial for me, so when I discovered Sciforma I was very impressed thanks to its simple and straightforward interface, but at the same time powerful that it allowed me, precisely, to do what I wanted to do so much, which was to organize the functions of my work team and visualize the status of the projects under my charge. Additionally, it provides the tool to create various diagrams, which as we all know are necessary to have a better understanding of the project and its flow of activities, which is quite useful if we consider that Sciforma already does this for us and that we should not do an additional diagram. Another point in its favor is that it has the reporting tool, in which it provides us with objective information about how the project is developing, with which we can make estimates and calculate its progress, as well as determine the current status of the project. draft. It is easy to customize, so we can give you a unique design that suits the project we are doing.
What do you dislike?
The reports could be more complete in terms of information, I consider that there may be other elements that could be added and give greater robustness to the information presented. Also, software tends to freeze in some situations, greatly affecting its performance.

As I said before, as a project manager this system was a great discovery since it allowed me to obtain project metrics, know the status of the project, see those responsible for the development of activities and constantly monitor the project from a small but quite complete application, basically simplified my work since now if I want to know some information or details of a project in my charge, instead of resorting to looking for documents in my office, I can make a query through the system and obtain all the information I need from easy and fast way.
