What are the best aspects of this product?
The accounting software itself is quite good, more options than any small business would use but once you figure out what you need it's quite user friendly.
What aspects are problematic or could work better?
The subscription model they have changed to is criminal. Previously I purchased the software for around 200$ and owned the software, I could use it for as many years as I wanted and pay when it was time to upgrade. They have taken the ability to use the software effectively away without the 800$ PER YEAR subscription cost. They literally told me on the phone that they disabled the payroll module from software I purchased!? I understand that software is moving to subscriptions but traditionally they charge less per year than the software used to cost. I am guessing simply accounting was purchased a few years ago by the mafia and they figured out that people hate changing their accounting software and they can charge what they like.
What features/services would you like to see in future versions of this product?
Allow people to have a "basic" plan that lets them do small business activities. Payroll, income, expenses. That is all a small business needs.
What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?
The accounting is easy to use and accountants use the files easily.

What are the best aspects of this product?
Can't say - never received the activation codes so was not able to actually use the product.
What aspects are problematic or could work better?
Ordered the product online. The company sent me an order confirmation email but did not include any serial number or activation codes. Called the customer support line - recorded message said they were too busy but directed me to online chat. Connected with the online chat - they told me to call customer service. Round and around. Finally was able to speak to someone who said that the online order somehow had not been released and they would need to refer to someone in another department who should eventually release the codes.
I have been buying software online for over ten years and never seen such a bollocks .
What features/services would you like to see in future versions of this product?
Would be nice to be able to immediately download /connect to the software after purchase.

What are the best aspects of this product?
It's simple to operate. It combines functionality seen in traditional acocunting while operating on a Windows-like UI. The interface contains useful features that includes a help section, wizards, and countless others.
What aspects are problematic or could work better?
The software is made on a flaky Pervasive SQL database. Its tolerance for any network latency or network drop is very low. This can push the platform to abruptly shut down on its own. Corruption or loss of data isn't the issue here. I've never experience data loss after using this for more than a decade.
What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?
It resolved a ton business issues that I was experiencing before. It helped me manage orders, look into inventory, conducting billing, monitor payroll, and it does other areas in accounting/manufacturing.

I love their data storage and functionality. The multi-user feature is a standout since it lets people log in to use the software. At the same time, it doesn't bombard users with interruptions. So I think this is the worthy upside using a convenient platform like this.
What aspects are problematic or could work better?
I happen to find the Peachtree software to run a bit slow especially with the addition of Sage. It has a tendency to crash once or so weekly. This makes it a bit hard to get work done.

This time around, payroll is now manageable. Payroll services are pre-installed and simple to utilize for paying current employees, monitoring benefits, and being able to make tax wage reports in a short period of time.
