What do you like best?
The flexibility in terms of adjusting the system to our particular requirements.
What do you dislike?
The invoicing module has some limitations which impacted our processes and we had to look for solutions outside of the system.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
User friendly event management system matching most of the essential requirements that an event organiser can have in terms of planing and running a successful conference. Flexible and easy to use. Good reporting tool.

What do you like best?
Extremely flexible and configurable software, allows for the event planner to effectively manage and deploy a variety of events throughout their marketing life cycle. A sense of a Global level provides users to easily maintain and deploy the same forms and fields throughout the various events to guarantee reporting is consistent. The platform allows for deep customization if the users are knowledgeable in various areas of Front-End Web Dev.
What do you dislike?
Product has shifted focus numerous times, this leaves various modules slightly outdated and not in line with the current company ethos. Some issues pop up time to time which require knowledge of JSON to remedy (this is not something an event planner would normally know).
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The RainFocus platform is very configurable, but needs a lot of attention into how the foundation of the admin is set up. There are many ways to setup and utilize the various modules, and it does require a base level of knowledge on how the platform operates.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
We are constantly solving event requirements and new demands for a Virtual Event/Hybrid event world. The benefits of Rainfocus is the ability to quickly scale and integrate with a majority of other vendors in the space.
What do you like best?
Ease of use, All the portals are connected through the same data points, dynamic and knowledgable team, flexibility, can-do attitude/ problem solving, evolving/ improving over time, customer first, no hidden costs
What do you dislike?
There are a few specific product features that we'd like built/ improvement on like: being able to build recommended agendas for sessions without times, out of the box content catalog imagery or text fields to cover up ugly file links, adding icons to recommended agendas, more integrations with virtual event platforms, an auto-save feature so don't have to constantly click save button, more robust file/ presentation review tool, out of the box summary reports w/ graphics based on commonly collected data, not really any big dislikes other than specific product features.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
I manage content strategy, web, mobile app and marketing for my time. With the global pandemic, i've also been responsible for building our digital experience. Using Rainfocus we have created more streamlined call for papers, review processes, a more beautiful content catalog, presenter communications and reporting. Rainfocus has also proven to be a valuable partner in switching to a virtual event with out of the box api's and flexibility based on our changing needs.
What do you like best?
Rainfocus has a tech stack that is probably one of the most updated in the current event technology marketplace. As many know in event technology, we require a number of integrations across the board in order to create the most seamless event. Their thoroughly developed RESTful API (with strong documentation) is well responded to when discussing integrations with other providers. On top of that, they have kept a lot of security practices in mind, doing a lot of due diligence internally instead of requiring clients to pay for scans or penetration tests.
Their platform is extremely flexible and configurable, which makes the lives of event managers much easier to utilize as granular details and work streams can be vastly different from event to event. They also have architected their platform in such a way where it's easy to duplicate events, forms, workflows, and more through different various areas. This is especially helpful in delivering complex data structures across multiple micro-events. Rainfocus' solutions architects are also very problem-solving oriented which is super helpful to have in difficult technical challenges we face during an event delivery cycle.
What do you dislike?
Within the platform, there are little "quirks" or minor bugs that provide little user feedback which is not ideal for those who are not as familiar with Rainfocus. There are also some technical workarounds that we sometimes have to do (which isn't always the prettiest solutions) in order to have the platform function in the way we hope to, but on the other hand - Rainfocus Product team has been receptive to the feedback and continue to add to their product road map so that everyone can benefit from these fixes.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
As someone who works in the technical side of event technology, Rainfocus' platform, APIs, and their existing partnerships with other event technology companies have made a large impact in my work. As we look at continuing to integrate more platforms for an enhanced attendee experience, working through established partnerships is often beneficial because there would be a deeper connection with the different technologies, meaning a more seamless attendee experience. With their flexible and scalable event platform architecture, it allows for us to configure and cater specific areas within Rainfocus to best support the different education, registration, and sponsor management teams for efficiency.
What do you like best?
They continue to innovate and keep up with trends in the event technology industry. I know their developers very well. They know the event industry like no one else in the business.
What do you dislike?
At times they are spread thin with too much work on their plates. I think sometimes they take on too many clients.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Rainfocus offers best in class tools with top notch support. You won't find better developers behind the scenes. They are always willing to make integrations work.

We are able to control most of our configuration needs. Rarely do I need to go to their team for help. The tools are very complex and give me everything I need to meet my stakeholder's needs.
