What do you like best?
I like the plugin ability and that there is no development required.
What do you dislike?
I didn't like the design solution download data from Qualys into single table into CMDB. This design solution requires a complex workflow design in the CMDB side, for that reason this solution does not fit our business case.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
We upped it to design our own API integration.
What do you like best?
I used this for corporate scanning and I am satisfied with the performance and VA reports. False positives are very minimal even if scans are unauthenticated. Technical support is fantastic. What I like about Qualys VM is the dashboard presentation. It's very good.
What do you dislike?
I do not like that all of the data is stored on the cloud. I would like to see this solution more developed and competitive in the Cloud space

It is more expensive vs. other products on the market.

Stale platform. Not responsive to requests. Limited context.

What do you like best?
Very good product, quite easy to use and it was very easy to arrange a demo. They offer free training and there's a lot of documentation. So you can start with your project with minimum set up. I used Qualys before as a consultant for different projects for small businesses and startups and I can see they still are offering a very good quality product.
I took the training some time ago and it was quite useful to get up to speed in no time.
We also like some free tools such as the SSL check and basic scanner which can be used at any time just signing up.
What do you dislike?
Unfortunately it's still not very well suited for very modern technology. It doesn't read inside Docker containers which our company is using with a micro-services architecture. Additionally, the Web-App Vulnerability Scanner had problems logging in with one-page JS applications. At the end it can still login, however the process was more cumbersome than other tools we tested.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would thoroughly recommend setting up a full demo and considering future applications. If you speak with your customer representative they can even extend the demo for you.

As a fast company growing quickly it's important to implement a security tool that's equally dynamic and adapts fast to the new threats. Good support and documentation are also key elements to choose the appropriate solution. We liked the multi-paradigm of Qualys, so we can cover different threats with the Qualys Suite.

I like that you can pick out your servers to scan one at a time
What do you dislike?
I don't like how the reports aren't kept forever
