What do you like best?
I like that I can create multiple folders, create custom forms, use my own forms, and rename on the spot.
The software is easy to use which is a plus for the field. When they are too complicated training can be an issue particularly if the field staff is not tech savvy.
What do you dislike?
That my admin account must be different, dislike that there is not one place where I can see all jobs and all users assigned to each job. Being the system admin and an account user for all projects, I would prefer one account that could handle all. This is the only software that I have worked with where I need a separate login to do anything aside from be a user.
The second issue I have is the cost, I find the yearly cost too high, the Nailgun account is almost useless, unless the job is small.
The third issue that I have is that when reviewing field reports, the system does not mark or identify in any way if the report has been reviewed. This leaves my only option as having users email them to me upon submission and then I have to go in and archive them to know what has been done. There has to be a better way for this,

I like that I can upload multiple file types to plangrid, this has allowed out company to only need one software in the field since it allows may file types and any form that we can come up with.

The amount of time it requires to link in a navisworks model is too long. I too over 2 hours

Ease of use on a tablet and ability to mark directly on the drawings of issues.
What do you dislike?
Requirement to purchase for use of more than 20 sheets. Makes it difficult to share information to all users.

We currently use both Procore and Plangrid to manage our drawings for a 400 unit apt. project and the superintendents prefer to use PlanGrid over Procore for the punch and for correction notices for its ease of use for marking up the plans with the necessary correction notations and for sending those out to the subcontractors.
What do you dislike?
PlanGrid has several major negatives which is why we don't use it as our primary software:
1. Cost - it requires a subscription of several hundred dollars for access and except for a couple of our large subcontractors who use it at other sites none of the other subs are willing to buy a subscription so access is extremely limited. Fortunately correction notices can go out to all subs even if they don't have a subscription.
2. iPad and tablet memory use - unlike Procore which is cloud based PlanGrid downloads the plans to your iPad so it requires an iPad with quite a bit of memory and if there isn't enough memory then the program locks you out so you can't access it at all instead of giving you access to the plan sheets that have been downloaded already so you've paid your subscription fee but you can't access the program. Ditto if you go over your subscription plan which is based on the number of plan sheets, if you go over your subscription by one sheet you're completely locked out of the program and can't access the sheets you have paid for until you upgrade your subscription. Both are extremely annoying, be sure to buy an iPad with the largest memory available or you may have an expensive tablet you can't use unless you only work on small projects.
Speed: It takes a long time to download sheets to the tablet, the superintendents usually do it overnight because even tho' its only updating with the latest sheets it takes hours.

The biggest benefit are the correction notices and punch list ease.
What do you like best?
Ease of takeoff functionality. It highlights and tracks materials very well.
What do you dislike?
The price seems to be much higher with basically the same functionality as its competitors.
