I have been using this software for over a year and it is very smooth and easy to use but I have had issues with their billing department. Over charges and misunderstandings are the norm. If you have the time to go over your bill every month and to wait on hold for long times to do this you will be ok. If you do not have that time go on over to another company.

If we require any help and dial the customer support. it takes more than half an hour to answer the call. You guys need to add some staff, So we get the information timely.

The program is slow. Having to scan in EOBs is a pain. They were supposed to set up EFT and told me what for to get from bank. They said either bank letter voided check or something on my letyer head. Gave my letterhead form not correct. Went into back waited forever uploaded form and they said not coreect bc it was direct deposit form. I told banker what I needed and they gave exactly that with maybe the wrong name on top of form? Phone number on patient statements was wrong and when I emailed a few times to figure out that as well as queations to seeing patient statements I didnt get a response. When I was ready to cancel I emailed the woman who set me up. She trnasfered me to management. He wrote me but then never reponded. Apparently he was out of office and no one repaonded. I reached out to Nakiah and she triex to help me get in contacr with someone. Almost 2 weeks later I get a call asking if they can get me to stay. I say no. She says management will review my contract and see if they can back date cancellation start date... Which I requeated on Nov 16. Well I find out a week later, by calling in and waiting 30 minutes that cancellation date will be Dec 31st and last bill in Jan. Why am Inoaying for an extra 2 weeks? I dont know because I didnt get a reponse to my email and I feel this is a way to squueze out more money.

From a general business alliance perspective, NueMD scores 3 stars as described by ratings on this site. I have been with NueMD for over 14 years and as a thought leader and expert, I train others on best practice based processes. As a user of NueMD for small medical practices, their functionality is not best practice though they are better than a majority of the software packages out there. Those that design the software"s functionality have very little to no "in the trenches" medical practice working knowledge. Some I understand have been 3rd party billers. The look and feel of the modules pretty good.For years I have approached them with best practice based functionality ideas and to establish user groups. Both have fallen on deaf ears. The program is expensive and add-ons are extra; though there are other programs that are more expensive and others not even worth looking at.Due to inadequate planning and design, upgrades are often painful and throw detailed interfaces into lala land requiring hours of resources to correct. At the beginning, the chief architects and/or front men, were very interested in developing great software. They were very interested in learning from the users. However, most of these people have moved on. And, throughout the years this level of drive or enthusiasm has dwindled to mere maintenance. The user guides are complex and poorly written; I have given up trying to read and make sense of them. Compared to other packages NueMD is above average. There is not a great program out there; but there could be.
