MoEngage provides a good start for standard use cases but when trying to go deeper to integrate more complex use cases, MoEngage tends to stutter and fail to deliver the use cases.
What do you dislike?
MoEngage is not good enough in catering complex use cases as the company grows from basic usages to more customized ones. The customization is not even at the level of total customization.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are looking to solve basic needs quick and fast, MoEngage would be the right solution but if you require something more, MoEngage might not be the best option for your problem

The response rate of the service is also relatively slow in comparison to others. They tend to provide slow responses and only manage to get things up and running based after of near the agreed timeline (tend to be over most of the time).

MoEngage is not good enough in catering complex use cases as the company grows from basic usages to more customized ones. The customization is not even at the level of total customization. Considering the investment and implication of integrating it within the app, I think this is one of the biggest blocking of all.

basic automation and solving common use cases is quick with MoEngage but need to be wary on the scale and specific use cases that can be solved using MoEngage. Looking back, MoEngage is growing together with the company but they couldn't catch up when we manage to grew faster than MoEngage.

Smart triggers are easy to use, and helpful
What do you dislike?
Some features are confusing, and there are many bugs such as released campaigns not having the correct conditions entered originally

MoEngage has a lot of interesting features but you will need to spend some time playing with it and exploring it to truly get the benefits of it.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
targeted campaigns, according to user characteristics. I can also send push notifications and emails according to time elapsed. Benefits include that we can track the progress of a certain campaign and see if the campaign worked according to our hypotheses. We also use the A/B testing feature, and Sherpa feature to see which types of copy work best for our target users.
