What are the best aspects of this product?

I already have a Google Drive so getting started with this app was just a breeze. I love that it offers an option of whether to use it individually or enable it for the whole Google apps domain (I chose the former btw). It has an undo which is mapped to Ctrl-Z and spontaneously attaches nodes when they are dragged around or onto each other.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

If you want to add MindMup to your G Suite as an individual application, be careful not to click the “recommended” get started button because it would install the app for your entire G Suite domain which is what happened to us. This may not be a big deal for end users but for G suite administrators, there’s just many risk. You must examine the product first and know the security implications before enabling it for your entire Google applications domain.

Also, there is a limited knowledge base. We are able to find some “Tips and Tricks” buried in the help menu are sparse and static. There is also the guide on how to manage tasks and projects utilizing the progress sidebar but when we click the link, it redirects us to a long html page containing a few features. If you love exploring things, Mindmup would be great because there’s no quick start, introduction, or tutorial available when you get started with the system. We figure things out by ourselves and fortunately was able to learn how this tool works.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

We used this tool to create charts in node or child node format like for organizational charts, progress, or projects and it is effective. It supports multi or single user collaboration and works well with Google Drive. It comes with a free and paid version. The organizational price is a hundred dollar a year, all users included. I think this price is already reasonable, in fact, pretty affordable for huge businesses. Lastly, it eliminates the need for Windows installers as well as permissions.

What are the best aspects of this product?

It’s easy to create diagrams! I just drag and drop elements and double click the element when I feel like I need to rename it. It is easy to change the colors to the one I like and customize it to make it look like the way I want to.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

I find the graphical and animation options a bit lacking. Also, it seems like the gold version is more expensive that it should be. But there’s a free version of it makes it up for that drawback.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

I can create and customize diagram with so much ease. I love that there’s no need to Google image just to customize the diagram. The tool itself already offers a lot of customization opportunities.

What are the best aspects of this product?

I can create and save templates for later use, specifically when doing a client fact finds. It is like taking note of every important thing about our client. We then save the client find facts online, which make it easy to access them when needed.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

There’s no enough variety of colors for me, as well as font choices and customization capabilities. It would be really nice if they’d add more of them. Also, I have a problem with the short cut keys. They don’t work as seamless as I have expected.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

I work as a financial advisor and knowing who I am dealing with is imperative in my job. One of the common ways of gettingto know the client is through having a conversation with them and listen to everything they said. Of course, it is impossible to remember everything they have said so there’s a need for a tool. A pen and paper would be helpful but not really ideal. You won’t be able to take down as many notes as possible. This problem is solved by MindMup. The pre-created templates allow us to keep notes in a neat and organized way. The ability to share the screens with our conference room television for viewing of our clients is also a nice thing. It makes it easier for them to follow along, and that’s what we want – to provide them with great experience working with us.

What are the best aspects of this product?

There is a variety of colors and text dimensions available, so is the opportunity to be creative.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

I had some issues with link placement. MindMup is able to recognize a URL places in a text but it will only show the text and the link will be shown as a clickable button. I wish they provide an option to choose a property where to place the link without touching or moving the texts.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

It lets me create several links between elements and help us make as huge map as possible (btw, we’re already able to make a really big map made using this tool). I also use this to make visual topic cluster for our team’s content marketing plans.

What are the best aspects of this product?

I’m able to organize information and concepts in one place. Categories can be expanded, making it easy to keep stuff in smaller place.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

Sometimes, it is hard to expand the categories.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

Mindmup serves as our getting-to-know-you tool for our business clients. It is easy to add information to any field whenever required.
