PROS & CONS
What are the best aspects of this product?
The product works just like it did 10 year ago. Unfortunately every other similar program has progressed a lot in 10 years. Meaning that this one is over a decade out of date technologically.
What aspects are problematic or could work better?
Customer "service" is awful, dis-respective and juvenile. I have instructed our purchasing department to black list all Corel/Mindjet products to ensure that none can be purchased in the future.
What features/services would you like to see in future versions of this product?
It won't matter because I will never buy anything else from this company.
What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?
None. We decided to use Visio for our multiple company project because of the response from their customer service people.

What do you like best?
It's a visual representation for Project Management, Mind Mapping, and Organizational Plans. It provides simple techniques to provide value added benefits to the user.
What do you dislike?
It is still clunky and not able to be tweaked to my teams needs. It's a good tool, but to much work is needed to make it the go to tool. Also we need a little more customization to build in the frame work of a project. Agile vs. Interative (Waterfall I think is out of the question).
Also would be good to choose the specification of the project that would allow for certain options based on the selections. (i.e. If you choose Task Level Tracking - This would allow for the ability to assign to user, time estimate, progress, etc...)
Recommendations to others considering the product:
We are not a current user as this has not been able to meet our business needs. I am hoping there are updates that will be able to allow our company to bring the value that is needed.

The main business problems I am solving for;
- Clear communication to team
- Easily understand the scope - Departments touchs, milestones, timeline, etc...
- Clearly promote the overall expectations of the project

super convenient software and easy to use to organize

nothing i dislike, really strong system

its helpful in creating visuals of work flows and strategy

The software is very easy to pickup and use without any previous experience

Limited capabilities in editing, clunky GANTT charts, lack of control in printing

We were looking for a software that can be used for project management purposes. This is not one.

here is a list of things i like best about Mindjet
- when in a brainstorming meeting, we can lay out all ideas in a flow chart
- its mind maps are a easy to read and have a very clean lay out
- can use it to track status on projects
What do you dislike?
here is a list of things I did not like about Mindjet
- while the software does have compatibility to assign resources and due dates, no one is going to use it for this feature. The software is lacking in several ways: unable to email out tasks to people, unable to hold people accountable for them, MS projects does a much better job
the buttons can be confusing to use when creating a layout
