Microsoft project has traditionally been the best way to capture critical data elements for success project planning. That opportunity remains.
What do you dislike?
Microsoft project has always been obscure but the interface has taken the effort to an entirely new level of trivial pursuit. Simply trying to change project dates and task interrelationships is beyond challenging now. Worse yet my organization decided to use Project Online for organizational time keeping. Data entry lacks integrity since it is so hard to put in the time to do it right people just do it quick.

Planning project requirements, sequence and prioroities
What do you like best?
Ability to visualize the entire landscape of tasks for the lifetime of a project.
What do you dislike?
Just about everything. The navigation, the management, the complexity of the software; basically it's not a program to be used by a group of people with varying skills and interests. It became a bit more of a topic for performance criticism than a tool for tracking projects.
Recommendations to others considering the product
You will need staff devoted just to the management of the software, the software will also need to be integrated into meetings, discussions, and business operations. It is a little bit too onerous, honestly, for a large organization with several ongoing projects.

The problem we solved was that we didn't want Microsoft Project.
What do you like best?
I guess the fact that it was microsoft branded was the fact it was easy to bring everyone aboard and get them into the software. It made connecting with other members on a project super easy.
What do you dislike?
I disliked how every aspect of this software reminded me of Google Drive
Recommendations to others considering the product
I recommend checking out Trello, Google Drive, and literally any other tool that can connect multiple people. The problem with Microsoft project was the expensive cost for such a disappointing product.

We needed a way to connect multiple people over three departments to collaborate on projects. This was proposed due to it having a Microsoft branding.
What do you like best?
Collaboration in SharePoint. Entering in projects in one location, the format.
What do you dislike?
Clunky. We were in a meeting and someone used an unrecognized character and no one could save their projects.
