What do you like best?
It's a comprehensive tool both A/B testing and sending notifications.
What do you dislike?
The UI in general. The display of A/B test results are difficult for inexperienced users to understand and interpret. I would compare to a tool that would be typically be built in house. Users need a little more hand holding than Leanplum offers.
Support is probably the worst part of the Leanplum experience. Problems with tools are expected getting help has be a chore with Leanplum.

If you need Leanplum get an idea what your support experience is going to be like.
What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
We use Leanplum for A/B testing and feature gating.
What do you like best?
Easiness to send push notifications and create campaigns. Very easy to send messages in general. Easy to dimension experiments.
What do you dislike?
Lots of trouble when creating tests and assigning variables to users. Lack of flexibility when resizing tests. Lack of security when doing changes.

Good tool to start, it's likely you need to move on to in house or other vendor (don't know any better one, to be honest).

We use it to send push notifications and manage experimentation. We do not have an internal tool for AB testing and have been using Leanplum for a long time. It has been helpful but we encounter more and more difficulties as our experimentation culture gets more mature.
What do you like best?
Positive impact with workflow "cart abandon" emails. Positive impact with the ability to split test emails.
What do you dislike?
Negative impact with Revenue data... not always accurate/tells the whole story.

I would rate over all a 6. Compare with similiar soft ware before purchasing.

For sending out a messages to all application users (without having them update or at least quite a large number of them is one of the best uses for Leanplum. Customers do not update their software quite as often as developers would like them to. While Leanplum does track some data it does not track that metadata quite as well as some of the data systems out there.
What do you like best?
I like being able to launch mobile lifecycle journeys at the new campaign composer.
What do you dislike?
Lack of trigger options ( e.g: based on user's last active) , analytics engagement results vs holdback results lack of tracking full funnel retention, lack of easy and straightforward campaign QA experience ( you would need to launch live tests to get full experience during test but it has potential risks to do QA at your production instance of Leanplum).

What do you like best?
Leanplum is adequate if your CRM/messaging needs are simple It's easy and compatible for deploying one-off campaigns or automating simple triggered communications.
It can be a pretty effective if it's been integrated with your Marketing Tech Stack, specifically any platform you're using to store customer data for targeting purposes.
It's also a multi-channel tool that supports email, push notifications, in-app notifications, and SMS. This makes it easy to manage everything from one platform.
What do you dislike?
- Limited customization: the template options are pretty limited and potentially hard to align with your brand. Unless you know HTML or you already have existing HTML templates, you'll be pretty constrained.
- AB testing: I believe you're only limited to 2 variants per test (including a control). This means you can only test one thing at a time, which is a disadvantage to a team's testing velocity.
- Reporting: the native reporting tool is unintuitive and often inaccurate. Our team only looks at open-rates and click-throughs in Leanplum. For anything more advanced (even though we should also be able to review in Leanplum), we export the data to a separate reporting tool (like an Amplitude) to conduct the analysis.

We're solving three main problems:
1. Business growth: we're heavily using CRM to drive growth for the business. This includes conversion optimization, driving feature awareness/adoption, and increasing overall engagement amongst our user base
2. Test agenda: we operate with a hypothesis-driven approach, so we're constantly testing and learning new things via Leanplum.
3. Compliance - as a financial services company, we're legally required to inform our customers of certain things. Therefore we leverage leanplum to distribute that information.
