What are the best aspects of this product?

As we run over 2500 SKU's, it can be quite messy to keep track of everything. Katana kept it all organized for us. Its ease of use is a great help as almost anyone can learn to use it. It also has great customer service. They are awesome and wonderful in answering our inquiries.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

Adding SKU's can take quite some time. It often takes a minute or three for the page to save. This takes away precious time for us. It also has a few missing essentials in manufacturing like that of item location, scanner ability, and the ability to create a pick-list for all manufacturing orders and individual orders. There are also times when our inventory is not as accurate as we would have liked as Katana automatically allocates inventory when an order comes in. We also can't customize the way in which users view our inventory. We would have wanted to restrict some sections for certain users. It also becomes slower whenever a bulk of orders come in. This causes a lag in our work efficiency.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

It made our inventory more organized. We were also able to make relevant decisions regarding our manufacturing priorities.

What are the best aspects of this product?

It took out the hassle of using spreadsheets to track our inventory and perform other relevant matters in our business. We are pleased to have found Katana.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

We simply adore Katana, thus we have no negative thing to say about it.

It is easier to keep track of everything. Everyone is well-informed of our stock and can make informed decisions about it.

What are the best aspects of this product?

Everything a small business would need, Katana MRP can cover. It is very easy to use and follows a great flow. To make things better, its support team is also a great help. They never failed to give us valuable knowledge about the system and helps us with our problems. We also noticed how the team listens to its clients. We've seen Katana give out updates that helped us run our business. It is also very affordable.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

We hope that it can allow making purchases changes in the inventory asset account. This way it reflects the changes we make in Quickbooks. If they were to do this, Katana will be close to perfect.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

It made our inventory more accurate and easy to use. Now, we can easily track specific items in our inventory. It is truly a perfect fit for small businesses like us.

What are the best aspects of this product?

It is nice how we can use resources to assign specific tasks to our team. This makes our manufacturing process easier as confusion is avoided. We were also able to compare the cost per minute and the cost per piece for assembly. This allowed us to analyze our payment procedures and gave us a more accurate data on how much we should pay our employees.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

I am very pleased with the developers of Katana. Since I've started using Katana in January 2019, they have rolled out many updates that came from the suggestions of their clients. If I were to see other improvements it would be the following: (1) Allow printing and exporting of MOS. We want to push this so we don't have to use excel anymore. We want to have all our tasks accomplished using Katana. (2) The ability to change all time allotment at once. Right now, we have to individually change the time allotment per item. This takes quite a bit of our time so it will be greatly appreciated if they can make updates regarding this. (3) Have more status options for items on hold. Currently, those items are only categorized as blocked. This is inconvenient for us as we want to be able to accurately track these items.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

Having the ability to accurately assign tasks to members of our team proved to be a great help for us. We handle about 1500-2000 SKUs and all of our workers work from home. Despite this distance, we were able to track their work. It saved us a great deal of time and made our workflow smoother. Because of this, we never have to panic or even worry about missing items or inaccurate work. Katana took care of keeping us organized. Throughout this year, it has only improved our system and task management. It is a perfect fit for our company and its needs.

Katana MRP's UI is very clean and organized, making it easy to use the system.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

If forecasting and planning for future production are to be included, it will make Katana MRP a better application.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

It helped us greatly in our business. Tasks such as purchasing, scheduling production, order tracking, and inventory management became simpler.
