What do you like best?
I liked Kashoo’s platform. It seemed easy and straightforward.
What do you dislike?
They use a third party to connect your credit cards and bank accounts. The so called ‘bank feeds’ worked well with certain banks but others it was a nightmare. So much so that I gave up after about a month of trying to connect.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
Never got it to work
What do you like best?
Uses double entry bookkeeping system. Is nominally available to use on the fly (online only, not available, sadly, offline), but website use on phone is slow and difficult in typing in entries on an Android phone.
What do you dislike?
1.) Overall awkwardness --- for example in typing in accounts (no auto-recognize and auto-fill), dates, and lack of memory, eg. projects associated with accounts, etc
2.) Limitations on accounts and sub-accounts
3.) Lack of Android app --- compounded by a website version which does not scale to mobile devices, and hence makes using on my phone ridiculously annoying.
* There are more things, but these would be my top ones. Lack of ability to use off-line could play in, but not horrible.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I cannot speak to the Apple environment. Do not bother if using Android. Works adequately on desktop, but no autofill, annoying date fill, requires continuous attention to "tab" keying or entering in order to not lose work. Save and Back keys are important and work well.
I have since found a wonderful Android app for basic accounting ---- double entry also and works wonderfully with Android. Very quick, quite pretty as an extra benefit.

Coming from a desktop only bookkeeping system, I was looking for something I could use on the fly in real time --- entering receipts, etc. Kashoo is online. However, as mentioned above, using the website is laborious on an Android phone.
What do you like best?
Kashoo is a very friendly cloud based accounting system and is very easy to get started .
What do you dislike?
Kashoo's reports are not on par with what other cloud bases accounting systems are able to offer.

Basic book keeping can be met easily with Kashoo.

I like the simple layout and decent response time of the online chat in case I have any questions.
What do you dislike?
There are a few things I dislike, such as: the project not having an option to show up on an invoice. Not being able to manage my WSIB account, for example, when I enter subcontractor bills, it would be nice to be able to allocate all or part of any given bill towards insurable which I have to put a percentage towards WSIB, including my own income as a sole propriator. I can’t seem to figure out how to view projects on my mobile app. It would be great if I could split up an income
Amount Into progress payments which come due at different times. It would also be nice if you had a logo cropping, sizing and placement option built into the software like quick books does. It would be great if there was an estimate option as part of the app.

Kashoo allows me to manage and track bills and invoices well, for the most part I use the online version.
What do you like best?
I like how simplistic the program is. I have many clients that don’t have an advanced accounting background but yet can easily maneuver through their income and expenses in kashoo.
What do you dislike?
At times the bank import feature well very useful has duplicated some transactions. This may be the fault of the bank or the program I’m not entirely sure .

Make sure to take advantage of all of the online webinars available as they offer a wide variety of information

The program allows clients to do all of the corporate bookkeeping and provides concise easy to understand reports. The bank reconciliation is made very easy and quick through the precise importing of bank statements from an online banking account
