What do you like best?
I liked the fact it took little time to implement this tool. It was for one of our legacy products. Very small table structure with five main modules. We did have the ability to add custom fields but, they were firmly associated with each model. Visually the tool is pretty decent and the administrative and advanced end user side is quick. I taught myself the tool in a week after reading the entire help manual.
What do you dislike?
I disliked its lack of automatic joins as it required the customer to have a understanding of sql. For a techincal person like myself its easy and pretty straight forward. SO if you plan on using this tool and have an IS department generate things fo other teams like canned reports they run. It would be good.
Creating reports new as a end user was somewhat challenging. The options are not easily laid out Also I never had a great experience dealing with their tech support. Nothing bad, but not great either.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would suggest looking at Cognos before you spend any money on Izenda.

It was a third reporting tool we attempted to use for our legacy product. We wanted something that could deliver table, cross tab or list reports. Along with easy to build graphs.
For the most part it did this but, it required training and generally speaking it was a bit difficult for our end users to adopt this. 90% of them still relied on our two other original reporting methods built in house.
What do you like best?
The ease of use for end users. Users who are not technical inclined are able to create reports with ease.
What do you dislike?
The number of clicks or screens you have to go through in order to create a report.

The product is great for a simple, easy business intelligence service.

As a customer, we are solving the business intelligence needs of our customers. Izenda allows our customer to create their own reports as needed.
What do you like best?
The option to separate data by different Tenants is easy to implement and works well. Being able to copy reports between tenants will be useful. Also the introduction of change history for reports will be popular with our users. The Izenda support team have been really helpful and have a very good response time.
What do you dislike?
The process for adding relationships between data entities was labour intensive, particularly as I had to repeat it for several tenants, who although using different datamarts, the datamarts all have the same structure.

Izenda allows our clients to have access to their data in an easy to use form, whilst not needing direct access to the database.
What do you like best?
I like that it does not require any type of technical knowledge to manage this tool in a very agile and simple way thus achieving to create personalized reports in the best way

The main drawback with this tool is its performance is not very useful and tedious
