What do you like best?
Out of other competitors in the market, Inspectlet got the pricing right. Pricing based off sessions instead of page views is great for those looking to record entire user sessions.
The playback functionality is really nice with several options that make viewing large numbers of recordings easy.
What do you dislike?
The inclusion of the software on our eCommerce platform conflicted with the checkout process and prevented credit card transactions. There configuration and set-up seemed to be point-and-click, so we didn't do full regression testing. HIGHLY recommend full regression and a close eye on eCommerce platforms.
Also, the mask sensitive data feature didn't seem to work. We ended up having to mask all form entry fields which limited the benefit of the tool.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
QA QA QA before roll-out. Don't let simple include fool you for eComm site.
Confirm masking of encrypted fields.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
Validation of end user errors submitted as bugs to our Support team.
Visibility of experience to confirm end user interaction.
Within several hours, we were able to see interactions and an issue we didn't know about.

What do you like best?
It records the user sessions and plays them so that we can understand the exact behavior of the user. It can segregate the user by IP, country, region, pages etc. Tagging is also a very nice feature which helps the developer/Inspectlet user to quickly find the desired session to view. It has a simple UI which makes it easy to use for people with non-technical background.
What do you dislike?
Although it does the job most of the times, but I had some bad experiences with the player. Sometimes it fails to load, or stops abruptly in middle. The problem is solved after refreshing the page.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is one of the best products out there for session recording. It helps in understanding the customer journey well.

Working for a travel domain, we wanted to understand the customer journey better on the website and also what made the user not buy the product or where the user was getting confused or getting intimidated. Inspectlet facilitated this by session playback. We were easily able to find the page on which we wanted to the reaction of the user.
