What do you like best?
When I first started using GoodData several years ago, their features were inline with the best of the (very few) cloud analytics platforms. Their support team also used to be top-notch. These days, you can count on 3-4 exchanges, across 2-4 days just to 'clarify' the issue.
What do you dislike?
They have a proprietary query language that is difficult to use, learn, and get support on. That makes building even basic metrics a highly stressful, time-consuming process.
Their modeling tools are great for an extremely narrow, extraordinarily simple set of use cases. Many-to-many relationships are a complete disaster in GoodData. If there are legitimate many-to-many relationships in your model you should stop reading and run, as fast as you can, away from GoodData.
Their ETL tool is also locked down to their ecosystem, so finding help or support is extremely difficult.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
We've used GoodData to build dashboards for internal company reporting, as well as customer facing reporting suites.
What do you like best?
The availability of the information and how it is preserved
Difficult and few youtube videos from other users that you can learn from. Online collaboration seems not at par as others.
What do you dislike?
Resources was too small for the platform

I dont have any recommendations. I think better social media presence.

Not many problems were solved in my case. More time spent trying to understand the whole application rather than spending it on reports

I don't actually have any positives which I can reference.
What do you dislike?
Gooddata has not received any noticeable update within the past 3+ years that we've been using it. The platform has a steep learning curve with many restrictions.

We used Gooddata until we built data pipelines to better reporting platforms. This suited the needs for basic reporting.
What do you like best?
Ability to create custom metrics and customized reports to fit my needs. Able to schedule recurring reports.
What do you dislike?
Dislike having to select desired fields instead of just typing them out.

the user interface, the possibilities within the tool, the exports. basically anything apart from the above mentioned possibility of configuration.
