What do you like best?
immediate information at your finger tips

Not enough reports / no payroll function
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
Inventory and better data base for Customers / Vendors. Overall better processes allowing fluid communication through out our manufacturing plant. Communication is key and Genius allows everyone to be on the same page.
What do you like best?
You can consume your parts at receiving saving a data entry and picking step, which is extremely helpful when you have a small company with the same person covering multiple jobs.
What do you dislike?
The reporting function ins version 7 is tough to adjust or use.

Inventory management, using the MRP system geared to job specifically you limit the amount of inventory you hold and just order what you need.
What do you like best?
Genius is a ERP software that uses windows based application to maximize the user friendliness. The reports are fully customization and all modules link to one another ( which may be a bad thing as well if your inter-department communication is weak)
What do you dislike?
Genius ERP does not allow keyboard shortcuts yet. On other apps which mirror windows, you can use your keyboard shortcuts; but Genius disallows it. It also does not have the ability to calculate on the spot like quickbooks.

Genius has revitalized our companies ERP. It has gotten everything organized, structured and flowing well. We now have a strict process to follow, and Genius will not allow the process to be broken. The most important change is the inventory. It has helped us maintain inventory and fulfill orders in a more time efficient manner.
What do you like best?
good visibility on all ERP data, rapid access to summaries and dashboards, good ability to multitask and cross-reference data.
What do you dislike?
Sometimes slow loading modules on older PC's or less powerful PC/laptops,requires dual monitors to use effectively. Some table headings in modules are confusing and F1 help and manuals don't provide proper explanations to what they do or what they mean.

Machine build planning, inventory control, purchasing efficiency, better sales pricing control, better information consolidation
What do you like best?
The ability to have everyone go to one place to see information has been a great improvement for our staff. Before Genius everyone had their own spreadsheets,word documents and other means of tracking information. Now it is all in one software and can be accessed by all.
What do you dislike?
Could use a better year end inventory counting system

Daily inventory tracking,Job costing and employee time sheet management . Time sheet management by far has been the greatest improvement .We had a manual written time sheet method before ,having the employees clock jobs live has improved labor data as well as reduced redundant data entry. Inventory tracking has been the next biggest improvement ,buy having the shop floor enter the data live we no longer rely solely on an estimated material usage. Those two things combined have provided excellent data for job costing
