What do you like best?

The platform standardizes how you create maps, flows, and personas relatively easily.

You can collaborate with other team members and see their updates in real-time.

The interface is clean and neat.

What do you dislike?

Of my biggest pain points:

CUSTOMER JOURNEY MAPS

1. The SVG export functionality is buggy. Not all graphics render properly, specifically the customer sentiment emoticons.

2. There lacks customization to color some of the map headers. Apply colors is a very manual process versus a more efficient process of changing a "theme" that ripples through the entire project. If there is one, it's not clear.

3. You cannot add your own icons or technologies to it's "Channels" template. As part of mapping a customer experience journey, there are other technologies involved that are not covered by standard social media platforms.

4. The UI of this feature covers UI controls of the browser, like the scroll bar, making it difficult to navigate. How to build the map could be more intuitive.

5. Not enough export size options.

USER FLOW

1. Exporting is buggy. Some component graphics, like icons, often get cut off.

2. The placement of icons within the shapes don't make for the greatest design output.

3. Can't customize icons or choose your own.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Collaboration and efficient customer journey mapping

Efficient user flow mapping

User persona generation

What do you like best?

The web based way to organize and get the possibility to give the custumer the choice and to have the whole pages on a great sitemap. The system is very easy and clear to get ready with it. The automatically "reader" is a great tool so the work is less complicated and you can settle it up in some minutes.

What do you dislike?

Some translated pages can't be read from the system, but you always have the possibility to add them manually. I recommend for that reason to double check before set it online.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Try it with a site that you have just in one language, multilanguage pages are not well supported.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Creating a full listed sitemap - clean and well organized with a good toolbar, easy to admin and clear for the clients and visitors. The clients are getting a well and clear toolbar in this way and thanks of the automatically add of new pages its also always up-to-date.

What do you like best?

I used a lot of user flows and ai tools before, most were done via Sketch or Figma ui kits. I found this powerful with users but I had to pass too much time updating them as the product was changing and improving quickly.

Using Flowmapp, scales this process to avoid going through same repetitive tasks.

Also, me and a project manager found out it would be a powerful tool for 1st layer of specifications. Working on a whole project/product stack with different stakeholders made this tool more than legitimate to adopt

What do you dislike?

I miss some feature improvements ( I know they are in the backlog ;) ) as adding images in the exported doc. I also would create "sections" in the page as possible independant ones : I'm used to work with components and some can be used accross multiple pages. Identifying them would create a new dimension for the AI or flow spec

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Getting the Big Picture on a project. As we use a bunch of tools of united or zoomed elements, there is no place where we federate and link bricks altogether. Flowmapp turns to fit most of this goal

What do you like best?

We love the simple yet effective interface for specifying how web sites should be build. It makes collaboration between all strategy stakeholders easy and productive and facilitates the briefing of creative designers who must turn ideas into wireframes and page designs. Newly introduced visual ways of mapping customer journeys and personas seem equally promising.

What do you dislike?

Post strategy ideation - pre-wireframing stage: We'd like to sketch page sections structure a little more visually (like 2 sections, text on the left, picture on the right, CTA, etc.). That would make instructions to designers who create the wireframes clearer.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

As we run strategy workshops for defining what a new web site should be like, we structure ideas directly into Flowmapp's site map page cards. This makes us much more productive as we validate each page goal, structure and content with all stakeholders who don't have to be technical to use it. It then immediatly becomes the set of instructions for creative designers. Then production of wireframes and creative designs is made in Adobe XD.

The Customer Journey Mapping functionality makes complex sets of information more visual. It's quicker to use than XL and facilitates the delivery of our messages, thus sustaining a positive feeling from our clients.

What do you like best?

I love how easy it is to quickly mockup a site heirarchy with as much or little detail as you need, and then export it to use in presentations or proposals. The ability to add coloured tags and even insert some content structure to the pages are really helpful too.

What do you dislike?

It would be great if you could add multiple sitemaps per project. And an export option to import the pages directly into WordPress. I guess these are more feature requests than 'dislikes'.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

When testing FlowMapp out for the first time, try creating a sitemap, and userflow for an existing project, before trying to start from scratch.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

It's much easier for me to create and tweak a site heirarchy and userflow of a website on here than trying to draw static versions on paper. Being able to visualise how everything comes together is huge.
