What do you like best?

The only plus is it's a portal and you can lock down access by IP, so I can limit access to only while at the hospital.

What do you dislike?

Limit on the number of patients per client. We are also a non-profit animal rescue and we see our own animals. We have to create multiple foundation accounts because of this limitation. Integration issues with quick-books, validation errors, new inventory created even if you just update a category. No easy way to import x-rays from our scanner.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Maybe if your not a non-profit rescue and hospital or a lower volume clinic it would work

Trying to eliminate data entry errors, inventory shortages, decrease appointment eait times.

What do you like best?

The calendar. How you can access the client/patient easily and also note their status, i.e. room they are in. Liked how the bloodwork was automatically imported and the ability to make a req form for the lab order. Callbacks were easy to locate and make.

What do you dislike?

Too complicated. Too many ways to access parts of the record. Too many areas to locate downloaded records or client communications. Entering a new client and patient takes too long. Having the phone and address and what not in its own section that needs to be saved is not beneficial in an ER situation. Not user friendly. Everyone was doing things a different way. Hard to learn and hard to train.

Too much, needs to be simplified. Not an easy program to figure out. Time consuming.

Callbacks are nice, making sure to reach out to check in with clients.

What do you like best?

I like the fact that it is web-based and can be used in the field. I like that I can make payments in the field and email clients their invoices/receipts. I like the features of being able to split invoices and transfer invoices. I like that there are no character limitations in the description of procedure and inventory items.

I like the live chat feature. The boarding update has been beneficial.

What do you dislike?

The reminders are the biggest problem. We have multiple clients with 50+ animals (on plantations) and there is no quick and easy way to print a sheet that shows what vaccinations/services the animals are due for. The past due reminders are excluded from that report.

The flow of e-Vet for the doctor that is entering information is horrible. There are so many clicks that have to take place to complete invoicing and documenting exam notes in the record. It takes me twice as long to get through invoicing and recording medical record notes as it did when I used Intravet. I wish there was a way to easily flow from invoicing to exam notes to marking the patient ready for checkout. I wish there was a way to change the patient status on the whiteboard as well.

It does seem like e-Vet makes efforts to improve their software on a regular basis which means they are listening to their clients.

Program switches animals on you so you put records under the wrong animal.

It takes a lot of clicking to get where you wish to be
