We bought Clearslides for our business and on the face it looked great. The ability to aggregate sales resources, get analytics on sales assets, great tools for sales enablement, and video conferencing all in one.

Once we used it, we realized it had severe latency on video conferencing, animations on Keynote and Powerpoint do not work (fixed later) rendering assets useless unless in PDFs, among other issues. I tried to work with them on it for months and finally had to migrate to other systems. I asked for a refund on performance. They switched account managers, gave me the runaround and finally denied my request based on contractual terms which they were within their rights to do...and it is clearly terrible treatment of a customer. They acknowledged the issues we were having but refused to accommodate us. If you work with this company, and I don't recommend it, be sure to negotiate refunds for performance or don't sign the contract or pay the bill.

If you plan to use the features they offer for a long term regular basis, it might fit you.

They made it a pain to cancel. We had to pay one entire extra year of it because we missed the 90 day notice to cancel by a day or so. And this year we tried canceling earlier before 90 days and they would not allow it. As it got closer to the 90 day mark, we had to call every day for about a week before getting a hold of someone to cancel the subscription.

The company has no integrity and only cares about profit. What a waste of money for us.

3) That's it, nothing else, nada, zip, zilch.

1) Their Search functionality sucks! difficult to find files!

2) Inability to batch download/upload.

3) Cost does not justify the return.

ClearSlide was a good product a couple years ago. The novelty of download-free screen sharing was cool, despite the fact that it's hard when one is doing back-to-back meetings to prevent others from joining an ongoing call.

First, the price is absurd. They are charging over $100/mo+ just for screen-sharing and then propose to charge per minute for conference calling. Why would anyone on Planet Earth pay per minute when UberConference charges $17/mo for unlimited conference calling? Admittedly, I had a specific use case that made the download-free screen sharing worth it until recently. See point 2.

Second, you have to sign-up for one year and their agreement auto-renews yearly. I just emailed to cancel (it's July 2018) and they said they would be happy to cancel at the end of my term, which is Feb 2019. What?! They already got a year out of me. Now they refuse to cancel because of some BS auto-renewal clause that's cleverly hidden in the original agreement? That's very shady. No wonder why they have dedicated Customer Retention staff to handle this stuff.

If you use ClearSlide, use a burner card from Privacy.com. Otherwise, you'll be stuck with them hitting your card.

That is allowed our sales reps & customers to share a screen

We had been using Clearslide for a few years. We started using the tool as a way to share screens with our customers and prospects. It worked okay. There were bugs and over time it became an obsolete solution as our customers and prospects became better accustomed to Zoom, Bluejeans, Gotomeeting, etc. They haven't really innovated that part of the solution in years. We moved to Zoom as it was a cheaper better solution for those purposes. Additionally the content storage feature really just a chronological storage for sales people. We did not have a Product Marketing Manager to determine what was being used most and build content specifically for the sales team. I can imagine if you had a devoted PMM this would be more beneficial but other solutions like Showpad seem way better. Also, if you have Sales Navigator, the PointDrive feature covers most of the bases that my reps liked about Clearslide.

Ending our relationship with Clearslide was a nightmare. I reached months before our renewal date to cancel our service. I reached out to two different account managers we had worked with over the year and received bounceback emails to both. When I finally got in touch with our account manager (that we were never introduced to) I was told it was too late to cancel our contract. Clearslide has a 90 day early termination rule and we just missed the cut. Really poor customer experience at that point. Being handed off from Account Manager to Account Manager, VP of Sales, and legal. At the end, Clearslide made no concessions and felt no empathy. My advice to anyone trying to do business with them is don't. But if you do, make sure to ensure that your contract does not have that clause in there.
