What do you like best?
I liked the ease of communication options with CCB. It is very easy to search a group, find a group, communicate what you need with that group via email. I never used the Twext tool that much, but that is very beneficial, and something that is not supported directly by Planning Center Online. That is the only true cut above that CCB has on Planning Center Online. The Twext tool allows you to send a text to everyone in the group seamlessly.
The communications for the groups (emails) looks pretty good. It's slightly better than sending an email with plain text. However, Planning Center can integrate with MailChimp, which will take your emails to the next level.
What do you dislike?
The layout is HORRID. CCB is trying to be something like a mock-social media platform, but it is so complicated and not user-friendly. I would not recommend it because of how complicated it is to do things. Whenever you finally figure out how to do what you want, it is a powerful tool.
The layout alone doesn't even come close to Planning Center. The user-friendly nature of Planning Center overshadows CCB immensely.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Switch to Planning Center! You will not regret it. It is so much more easy to use, and you can have sign ups that people can pay for online with their credit cards! So many reasons to switch to Planning Center.

Ease of communications to groups. Church-wide announcements. I send out a weekly email to my team using the groups function.
What do you like best?
Ease of finding people and tracking attendance.
What do you dislike?
Lack of customization, connectivity to social media’s and not a great layout or design. Very clunky. Not good for volunteers.

Not a great system but support was very helpful and quick to respond.

I like that the templates for emails can be saved in there. We switched from CCB to Planning Center online. PCO doesn't have this capability yet and it is frustrating.
What do you dislike?
They allow volunteers to just decline a shift and that's that.
I also don't like that they seem years behind the other church management systems out there. Not quickly advancing.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This system is slow advancing. If you are a progressive church that needs more than the "basics" within a system, I would go planning center online all the way.

Much more organized for sure prior to no management system. But still a ways to go!

This technology is clear cut and user friendly

Allowing parishioners to communicate with one another without a middle man, in a safe way.

Very in-depth look at people's profiles. Knowing more about them through their history, involvement and spiritual giftings is pretty cool.
What do you dislike?
A little TOO much for us right now – seemed very time consuming with the staff we currently have, but a very viable option for the future.

This tool seems like it could do a great job, but make sure you use all of the capabilities it provides, otherwise it could be a waste.

It could help us better minister to our people, but it wouldn't work well with our current situation. I can see us using something like this in the future.
