What do you like best?

that it has now moved to the web and can be accessed from anywhere

What do you dislike?

Everything. It is completely non-intuitive. Finding anything other than a member's name and ID number is EXTREMELY difficulty.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Run. Seriously, maybe it's our implementation, but it is SO hard to use.

It is our membership database. No benefits.

What do you like best?

There aren't very many things that were good about this program, however, the one nice thing was that it had a lot of reports and could house a ton of data.

What do you dislike?

It took completely forever to run list and sync campaigns. It was constantly slow and would take hours on end to do one thing. We would constantly have to shut down the program and restart it. Running the reports was another task in itself. It would take a minimum of 2 weeks to get all the reports done. List imports would take hours, and you weren't able to have multiple one done in a day. The program would constantly freeze and if you shut it down you would lose all your data. Not only that but you really need a full IT department dedicated to this program for constant updates.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Unless your company is very technologically savvy I would not recommend this product. It is very hard to use and it slows down your productivity. The support is not good. They aren't very helpful, and you have to wait for them. The amount of times that we had to shut down the system and restart was crazy. Furthermore, running reports took weeks, along with list imports. We had 4 people dedicated to this program in order to make it work. You seriously need at least 10 people or more. It is not a very good program and it is not simple for someone who is not computer savvy.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We were using it as our customer database system. The main benefit was that it was all done in house and you didn't have to outsource or have another company come in. Furthermore, it was a system you owned.

What do you like best?

Our association had not updates its AMS system in close to 20 years so we were coming off of a very antiquated system. When compared to the old way of doing things Aptify seems like a miracle tool. I like the ability for our association members to be able to go in and create a user profile where all of their data and interactions can be centrally kept.

What do you dislike?

The tool is not particularly intuitive. With many of the processes there are a lot of extra steps and pushes of buttons you have to do to find the answer or info you're looking for.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Make sure you have a clear path ahead of you when discussing going with Aptify. Our association has ended up having hundreds of thousands of dollars of unexpected costs that were not outlined in the original response to our RFP no was it budgeted for. Also, be prepared for the implementation to not be completed on your original timeline.

In addition to creating and tracking member profiles and interactions with our association, the tool also allows us to manage committees, create a centralized E-biz solution, and incorporate with our marketing tool HubSpot to track marketing initiatives with members in the AMS.

The customization of dashboards and ability to create almost any type of report.

What do you dislike?

Out of the box functionality was no ideal. It's hard to pull consistent data. Not end-user friendly.

Consider the tech-savvyness of all you end users that will be using this database daily/weekly/monthly.

We are managing everything through the database; products, inventory, subscriptions, orders, customer records. etc. It is a very powerful tool once you understand the complexities.

What do you like best?

Although our professional association has over 80,000 members, we are able to search and record information with ease. I like that we can create our own views when we have an idea of data we want to have access to.

What do you dislike?

I don't think the system is very user friendly. It took me weeks to be able to move past understanding basic functions.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

We have to utilize an integrated calendar for our website rather than everything from Aptify being linked directly to the site. I wish Aptify could create something that would eliminate the need to utilize a separate system for meetings.

As mentioned, we have tens of thousands of members. Without a management system like Aptify, it would be nearly impossible to keep up with the changes that are constantly being made every day (new Fellows, deceased members, leadership role changes, etc.)
